Official Assassin's Creed Thread

This is the place to discuss Ubisoft's upcoming Assassin's Creed.

Personally i think this game looks absoloutely amazing! The graphics look gorgeous, the gameplay looks brilliant. Could this become another great Ubisoft game? we'll have to wait and see but i can't wait for this game.

On a note its a multi-platform title so this should go into Console Monster not 360 Monster

But yes i will be purchasing this game but will wait to see what extra's the Ltd Ed will arrive with as the majoirty lately don't warrant the extra cash for them

I've had it on pre-order since I first saw a trailer of it.

Yep i have always liked the look of this and is a defo purchase..just not sure on Ltd or Std...though will prob be Ltd

The game looks great and promises to play better....so its a winning combo from the folk at Ubisoft (PoP team).

I remember when people on here were in tears begging for it to become a 360 title aswell lol - remember it was a ps3 exclusive at first

Never been keen on sitting on fences so will just hang fire on the poll for now as I normally steer clear of special editions but this has really got me interested. The Penny Arcade material and the Altair figure are the big selling points for me personally plus the fact I think it is going to be one of the best action adventure games released for some time!

Some games just grab you from the first screenshot. In recent years MGS, RE4 and GoW all did it for me and it will be interesting to see if Assassin's Creed gets added to that list -I'm fairly confident it will

On a serious note though theres nothing that really appeals to me in the limited edition so I will just get the standard edition (which I've had on pre-order since 28/9/06). No extra game content as such apart from the typical things you'd expect with a limited edition.

I agree with you there. There are quite a few games that can grab you straight away, for me atm it's Star Wars Force Unleashed and Mass Effect plus this. The trailers look brilliant, especially the lastest one which looks phenomenal

anyone else hear this game might be made into a trilogy?

it looked awesome there and its probably alot better now
looks seriously innovative, not alot of games for 360 have tried new things as of yet so this is going to be a big hit.

i hurd that you kill musslums and Christens and you have no real side. for me that is the biggest draw back and i don't know if i'll get it. i think you should be able to pick sides

if you really want to be a muslim or a christian then maybe its not the game for you

I will 100% be purchaseing this game, this is the game i am looking foward to the most this year from what i have seen it just looks amazing and the gameplay looks pretty good.

i'm pretty sure your a muslim assassin ^^^^^^. so i doubt you'll be killing a lot of muslims.

On the subject of Assassins Creed there is going to be three books wrote in total and book one "The Invisible Imam" due for release in October and Ubisoft have been approched by five different film studios about doing a movie on the game.

I think a film on this game would be a major hit much bigger than a Halo Movie what do you guys think?

I think to Hollywood the Halo movie is a sure thing - they could pump out any old tosh the Halo faithful would go in droves. The Halo universe is rich enough to warrant a very good film adaption but I think the guys in suits will just see $ signs.

I agree though that Ubi are creating a new intellectual property with AC that could easily move between different forms of media too... I'm just a little bit worried as great games never make great films just as great films tend to make naff games...

Yeah assassins creed film would be amazing
its almost perfectly suited for a film methinks
as for the books, i'd read them if i thought the game was good
which i probably will

who do you think would be the actor for Altair. i personally dont know any middle-eastern actors but i think Eric Bana might be able to pull it off.

Yeah eric banners a good choice
it would probably be better if they had someone totally unkown, but who is good obviously. if they did make a film it would probably be out in 2009 sometimes so we gotta bit of a wait.

well worth the wait if they did.
