When did you get one and whats gonna happen to it in the light of the 360?

so the xbox secessor is the 360 but does that mean the origanal one is dead?

why not in my case its the only box in my house and its not gonna be replaced (as i have had it for only 7 months!)

I don't understand your question - when did I get what - the original Xbox or the new Xbox 360

Original Xbox I got on the day of its release, and had upgraded it looks wise to the Crystal one

Xbox 360 I also got on the day of its release

So now have both generation xbox machines sat next to each other.

And no the original Xbox will not be dead as there is a planned 200 title launch for it in the next couple of years, and will continue to have supported Xbox LIVE

I never had the original Xbox, so what happens to it really doesn't bother me.

I was more of a NINTY guy but boy is that changing...for now.

I got my Xbox 2 years ago...I buy most consoles at release but was more into my PC 2-3 years back.

Bought a Dreamcast (so amazing and severely underrated) and was gonna get PS2 but thought I'd wait...then came Xbox time and I thought I'd wait even longer, had a top spec PC and DC, N64, Saturn, PS1 etc. for my gaming fixes. Then it got to the point where I could resist no longer...Xbox was down in price to £140 with 4 games and I knew a guy who'd mod it for £60. It woulda been mad to wait any longer....splashed out and been loving it ever since.

Then I bought a GC last year for £40 and love it (even though, as they say, it's a bit of a Teletubbies handbag!).....Windwaker and Resi 4 ftw!

I was like a cross between the two of you... a Ninty with a PS2.

I got the original xbox on the first day of release, it worked till about a half a year ago when i had to throw it out cause it was not running any games anymore. I'll get a replacement sometime this year. i just don't see myself parting from those awesome 2D fighters like Marvel vs Capcom 2 or Street Fighter games.

i got my xbox 360 on x-mas bit i was more of a Sony fan with a Ps2 and never had the Xbox
