Found this on the Nintendo forums:

That is pretty much how a gaming console from Apple would look like, if it actually existed!

Whatcha think?

What is the point of the iPlay exactly. That is, why would someone create these images if there was no speculation of a gaming console made by apple?

Knowing Apple, if they ever did release a console they would only make it run on a "special" apple brand monitor and can only connect to an Apple network (if any network connection).

Looks cool but they'd never do one.

Those are cool concept photos.

I'm sure eventually, in 15 years , Apple will give into gaming.

I don't think they'll ever make a console.

There's already 3 big names in the market, and they wouldn't want to ruin their recent success by trying to do something which is out of their league.

Looks mint, though.

Introducing the Pippin. It was a multi-purpose multimedia player, focusing especially on games. Apple never intended to make them themselves- rather license 3rd party companies to make them. It was a complete flop, though.

That looks hideous. Would you have wanted one of those in your house? I didn't think so.

For more information on the Pippin, it might be worth checking out the Wiki article on it.
