t looks like Sony really is determined to make the U.S. and Canadian holiday deadline for the PS3 shipment as it has just submitted PS3 documents to the FCC for approval.
The FCC approval is but one of the many regulatory procedures that the PS3 must go through before it can be given the green light for shipment. This particular procedure is especially important as it is concerned with the WiFi support capabilities of the game console. Also included in the submission is the bottom label, which will be attached to each console. The news is that there are two versions of the same sticker: one for those units manufactured in Japan, and the other for those manufactured in China by Asustek. ps3 labelsThe good news keeps trickling in as Sony confirmed that they have finished manufacturing the PS3. But it is still unclear as to where it will be officially mass produced. It's also a mystery why it's being manufactured in two different locations. The theory is that having two locations will ease the challenge of meeting supply demands. Then again, it has been reported that the Cell processor used in the console are currently below ideal rates. Oh, well. Whatever works for Sony. For as long as the PS3 comes to life and blows away the market. The FCC, or the Federal Communications Commission, is an independent U.S. government agency that was established to regulate all non-Federal Government use of the radio spectrum, radio and television broadcasting included. It also covers all interstate telecommunications (wire, satellite, and cable), as well as international communications that originate or terminate in the U.S. photo: http://www.ps3only.nl/screenshot.php...ket_339726.jpg |

Wait, it's September, they're finished with production? WTF! Why in the world don't they keep up production into mid-next month, then they could probably even get the thing to Europe in November, or at least before the end of the year.
Unless does it really take that long to package them all? To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. |

It's better if you think "finalized" link, not "finished".

Does 3.2A even mean 3.2GHz? I don't want to sound like a n00b here but I though that was Amps and wasn't related to one and other. Last I heared it was downgraded to a 2.8.
