PS3 Title Screen

I hate to put this up as I am mainly a PS fan boy and this is against it so it will get some stick but check it out and what do you think.

One thing is that the 360 is 1 up on the PS3 with this but things could change... I hope =/

Well, even though I'll probably sound like a 360 fangirl now, but that looks crap.

A menu system like that works on a handheld, but not on a full console imo.

That looks absolute crap...

Althought it doesn't look to bad with the game in the background but as a Dashboard they could of used there imagination instead of porting the PSP Display.

yeah i saw that and though it was rubbish, it may be fine for a psp, but not for the ps3. its not as user friendly as the dashboard

Lol yeah i was thinking the same Its too similiar to the psp. I dont like it at all

Terrible, just terrible. The dashboard is better by far but I don't think people care about user interfaces that much when it comes to rating a console.

360 Dashboard: 10.0
N64 Interface: 0 (There was none, so who cared?)
PSone Interface: 1 (Wasn't neccessary and was a waste of time, who cares?)
PS2 Interface: 3 (Wasn't neccessary but no one seemed to care)
PSP Interface: 8 (Great for a handheld)
DS Interface: 7 (Great of a handheld that connects to each other wirelessly..but does anyone care)
Xbox Dashboard: 5 (Did anyone CARE!)

No one cares about this in my opinion. PS3 could have had a crap stained design for all I care. If MGS4 is amazing, I doubt everyone will still be talking about the user interface.

I used to have a psp and I didn't really like its menu set up. This one looks even worse. That looks shockingly bad I must say.

I never realised how imprtant the Dashboard look and navigation were unil getting the 360. Now I don't want to go back!

Maybe, but if I'm going to be using my console as somewhere that I download content, watch DVD's on and chat with mates etc. I'm going to want it to be easy to the eye and easy to navigate. From that video, the PS3 is far from that!

I would say that the dashboard is easy to navigate, the oly thing that's letting it down is that it's not appealing to the eye. No matter what picture you put in the background....

Not too bad, but I didn't really like it too great on the PSP so I don't think I'll like it too great on the PS3. I don't like the way the text goes behind the other icons already

That is incredibly basic, but i like it.

Its a blatant copy of the PSP. Could they get anymore lazy but who actually bought a 360 because it had a dashboard

I laughed at some sony fanboy kid who said something like hey i can put any photo i want as a background. Didnt he know you can do it on the psp aswell as 360.

Well, they can't really be accused of plagerism when the psp was their own, so it's replication of a current product, nothing wrong with that.

I think it's good, it's plain and simple though I don't imagine that will be the final UI.

Its good.

Simple, but that's a great thing. I like how fast the OS comes up when you push the guide button. That's all that matters to me.

It looks very basic. I dont think they have spent much time on that at all. If your used to the PSP you will feel right at home straight away though.
