Who's going to pay 70 pound's for a ps3 game are you.

All i want to know is who's going to pay for these games at these prices?.... singstar...maybe?

My son is having a ps3 but i can't see him having many games.Could they go down just like another electrical giant panasonic do anyone remember the 3DO.(EXPENSIVE)

They haven't set any hard details, but I think they said it will be higher, and they might have even said it won't be more than eighty pounds. Or eighty dollars. I forget. It was a while ago. Slightly more than 360 games, iirc.

Wow 70 a game?

I can see it happening since they use Blu-Ray discs instead of DVD, which cost $10 more, and since they might be putting more content in since the disks are so big.

No, I do not want to pay $70-80 whatever for PS3 games.

if they make the game £70 each, sony really are dead in the water, NO-ONE is gonna buy games that cost 1/2 that of a Wii

The first few generations of PS3 games will use BD-9 discs: blue ray discs that hold 'only' nine gigabytes. Easier to produce, and no more content since the discs are the same size. Sony is going to charge more because they think a PS3 game, no matter how big it is, is a higher value than the PS2 game. They're charging for the 'experience' of it all. Pretty much the same reason 360 games are higher. Except, you know, it's a higher markup, because Sony's implying that the PS3 is more next-gen. They've convinced themselves that a higher price means they can make more money per game and sell more consoles.

If this is the price for a PS3 game I think Sony will have a song sung fo them. And it gos a little like this, join in if you know the words...

I can see many kids wanting a PS3 especially come christmas time Thornbag. Kids always want the latest console so its of no real surprise to me.

Yes and they don't know any better really, they probably think it looks cool and since it's the most expensive, it has to be the best.

Games are going to be priced from £49.99 to £59.99 (poss beyond). Sis - in -law runs an HMV and that's what the sheets say so for now.

The machines we know £425, cheaper one is not out for a few months after the initial batch. Deposits/Pre-orders are £150 for the system to stop ''people mass selling them on e-bay and alike'', no it's to cover the re-payments on their loans.

Keep them people will pay that, but not for long. You may already notice that some stores are starting to sell their 360 games at £39.99 well expect that the norm very soon, so perhaps £30 in tesco's/play

Drats, got there before me. Yes, if you take a look at Amazon and Play.com, they are taking pre-orders for PS3 games for £49.99 so I'd guess the RRP would be £59.99.

Hey me being a kid i no that a phew years back it was all PS2 and GTA, but now everyone plays Xbox so i dont think many kids are actually intressted in the PS3 and neither are the parents at that price lol.

Well I just hape anyone looking to make money on pre-ordered consoles get's ripped off by a dodgy buyer....that'll learn you!

I was thinking of an Ebay scam this go around, I know people who made over £1000 doing it with the 360's, it's very wrong yes, but it's the parents who will fork over something stupid to get their kid a console that are the idiots.
