Just got an email from Sony informing me that the PS3 site is now live.

I'm sure this went live a few weeks ago! I might be mistaken!

I had that email days ago.

Who cares? The PS3 is seriously too expensive and really not much better then the good ol' 360. Unless Assassins' Creed is actually PS3-exclusive [highly doubt it], I'm just getting a Wii.

So if Assassins' Creed is a PS3 Exclusive you are going to spend about £425 for the PS3 + £50 (Conservative Estimate) on a the Game....

You realise that doesn't make any sense, that you would buy a console purely for one game!

Well the PS2 sold just over a million on the week of San Andreas.

If he gets Assains Creed doesnt mean he wont buy any other titles

Well, people usually only have one game that they REALLY want to get above all the others. Once they get the consoles they find games that are a lot more enjoyable than they first thought.

Having said that, there is no way in hell I'm plopping down that kind of money for a PS3. I'll wait until the Blue-Ray player prices get under control, which is the only reason I see that console being so expensive.

I'm surprised that someone would buy a Console with only One game in mind for their console... but there you go!

I buy the Console that I either like from Previous Experience (Xbox) or that I know there will be a few good titles one already!

It's true though, I bought the N64 just for Mario 64 (a true classic), the Xbox because I was convinced by Halo, a Gamecube for.. well I thought some classic games were coming at the time and a JAP Saturn for Street Fighter Zero 3, well cus I'm crazy

I'm still yet to be convinced by the PS3... but I'll definitely be buying one - I just have faith, oh and my one game for that has to be MGS4!!

Thats site is pathetic, i mean look at xbox.com thats a proper site. PS3 forums sucks. No news on PS3 online. And no gamertag service cause i want to reserve myself a tag like i did with xbox.com.

There are a few other games I'm interested in.. but nothing I can't get on the 360 in some form. Assassin's Creed is the only really unique game I've seen coming out, and I would buy a PS3 mainly for that. That's not to say I wouldn't buy MGS4 and other games, though, because I do think it's crazy to buy a console and just get one game on it. Having one game as the reason you get a console isn't that bad though, because you'll almost definitely buy other games.

Any games that are on 360 and PS3, I would have to go for the 360 version because of the Achievements [duh!]!

Apart from motorstorm all the games look crappy

That site's garbage, I can see that they don't give a damn about the consumers, when they don't even represent themselves properly.

I doubt that will ever happen. The ONLY thing that will drive down the cost of Blue Ray will be if sales of Blue Ray films takes off. Which I don't see happening.

I got emailed too about the PS3 site. I kind of had a little laugh at the games list. Not only is there about 6 games but also when I clicked on them nothing happened. No pics or videos! Not boding well for Sony getting into online gaming if they can't even get their website to work.

Oh wait they have fixed the pictures now. I hate the Spiderman logo tho and the Blue Ray logo looks cheap.

alot of the ps3 launch games wer gettin on da xbox 360 cod3, smackdownetc the only game iam reli bother about is mgs4 but the sunstance vertion came out on da xbox so wats to say it wont for msg4?
