What racers would you say PGR games are similar to?

I know it's a bit sucky that I've never played one, but I'm wondering if they're more like Gran Turismo (realistic), if they're like Burnout (arcadey), or if they're somewhere in between.

What's different between PGR and other racing games? Different gaming options, for example... you mentioned cat and mouse - what's that?

And finally, on Live, how many people can you get racing at once, and are there other modes other than racing available.

I know I could probably look all this up, but I'm trusting people here will probably be able to give a more direct response.

i have it, but not really played it yet, only raced the first two races so far. first impression was that the graphics were awesome and the cars handled really well, looking forward to getting home and playing it again.

One thing i really loved, was when someone nudged my car from behind and sent me into a slide, the car spun a bit and everything went into motion blur as it did - it looked amazing.

I have had PGR3 since the Dec 2nd launch and I am loving it. I do miss having the old Mini's driving around and the 4x4's were a good laugh also but at least the selection of cars are now top quality. It is nice that within a few races you can have a really nice car to fly around London in. The setup of the races is different from PGR2 but I am enjoying a mix of race styles from the 1st and 2nd games.

Online is also a great laugh since many of the cars share the same high speeds but just differ in handling, which makes some winding track races expecially funny to watch. Gotham TV is an interesting feature but other than watching people race around, it does not seem to have much use. Maybe when PGR competitions are arranged so we can see the different people racing and then getting to see the grand final over live could be an interesting ides.

Got this today. A little late. I know, but just gotta say this game is the business. An old school friend of my brothers worked on the cityscapes for the game. But I think the cars are the stars. Amazing looking and plays great too. I too am missing the older cars, though....never thought id say that!
