PS3 Price announced

There will be 2 versions, one with a 20GB Hardrive for $500, and a 60GB one for $600. For those who said the PS3 was going to be the same price as the 360 haha.

Thats...ermmm..pretty expensive for most people. As for their "New" Controller....hrmmm...

yep and its 600 euros in euroupe so that = 410 pound but we will pay more because we get shafted by everyone

Plus games as well....this could be a very expensive Christmas for many people

i wasnt impressed by any of the games apart from resistance fall of man that looked great. oh and the trailer for the game 8 days looked good

Yeah but there Launching this year, I mean they could at least have some one playing the game not some Video Bullcrap.

anyhow the motion contorl;er thing looked good but the fact the guy was **** using it sugessts to me we are better off sticking to the anolog sticks in flight sims

I think Sony has proven they are the least innovative of the Big 3 by simply copying Nintendos controller and Microsoft's online service.

yeah they were playing reistance fall of man, looks like a good game its graphics were < gears of war but still good

Heavenly Sword was the only title that I thought looked pretty cool. The rest was a little underwhelming. It was not really right to show all those games and then fire off some video footage of games looking so un-realistic. They did it right by showing gameplay and then cocked it by showing CGI again....doh! Nintendo must be fuming

lol imagine if 360 conference goes look we got motion control 2 clicks his fingers and enables it on all the gamepads already out.

i think some of the cgi stuff was well good to watch i think some of it was ingame stuff

I can't wait for Microsoft's Press Conference tomorrow, Sony threw a meat pitch with there underwhelming Press Conference, all MS has to do is hit it out of the ball park.

also that jungle game looked good it diddnt have aname as far as i can tell, but it looked interesting and i wasnt sure if it was ingame you can never tell with them they just dont say if its ingame if its not do they ******s.

yeah i agree i think i would of considerd getting a ps3 if it was a few hundred, the price isnt just steap its vertical

to be fair im happy with my 360 and i was on fence about getting a ps3 but i think ill miss it out till it gets cheap and buy all the games that were good

Hmm lights to show which controler port you are, a Center button with a logo, wow how innovative Sony is.

This was a great sucess for the PS3. Believe it or not, but lets put it this way.

Xbox 360- 400 Dollars, using old disc technology and a 20 Gig HD.
PS3- 500 dollars using new Blu-Ray tech and a 20 Gig HD.

Blu Ray tech can cost up to 1,000k.

Controller idea looks great, but Ninty should get ****ed about their N64 stolen.

Games look stellar, and the Hard Drive is suppose to last a few years on 20 Gigs, so a 60 Gig is only needed for the Die Hard fans.

This Christmas the true winner shall arise, but now its good to see all PS3 doubts ended, since we know what it can do. It cooks pizza!

$499 PS3 = No Compact Flash, No SD, No Memory stick, No HMDI (ie. No HDTV BLU-RAY MOVIES SINCE HDMI IS A REQUIRED STANDARD FOR IT), NO WI-FI....$599 or bust?

I think I'll get PS3 after there is a price drop. I know a lot of people will complain about the price and not buy it. I predict there will be a major price drop within 6 months of its launch.

Hmm I just thought of an idea on how to get enough money to get the PS3!!! I'm gonna reserve 2 of them, buy one and sell it on E Bay for $1200. Then I'll buy the other one I have reserved and it'd barley cost me any money at all.
