I saw a topic on the PS3, but not the Revolution.... :brow

Who's getting one ?

I will get one, but just not at launch. I think the controller idea is really smart, and since it's Nintendo, the first party games will still be fun.

No dice pal...I stopped liking nintendo right after I bought my GBA...that's right...the original horizontal purple one...what a dissapointment...32bit my arse! So yeah...I'm an ultimate Nintendo anti-fan...the only thing I like about Nintendo is the fact that I can play the mario theme tune on my bass...

Yup, I'll be getting one.

Will try to get all 3 consoles this time around, but if I miss one out it'll definitely be the PS3.

Nintendo are marketing this machine as the "second console". It's an interesting tactic - basically suggests that Nintendo have virtually given up on the convetional console war - however, it could guarantee them plenty of sales.

Lets not forget the facts about Nintendo:

- They have a track record for making innovative things work. (DS, analogue stick, rumble pack).
- They make bloody good games.
- The Revolution will be online, and will offer a solid service.
- The Revolution will function in alignment with the DS system.

Sounds like it's going to be good to me? And for $100 (some rumours are saying), you'd be a fool to not get one.

Spot on.

Thats the credit Nintendo deserves. If the Revolution has everything as promised I would be silly not to pick it up for $200.

Its my SexBox and her name is Sony

We also haven't mentioned you will be able to play all the classic Nintendo games on the Revolution.

Exactly that is probably the best invention ever. Will the game downloads cost a small fee?

I am guessing they will come at a small cost, but if Nintendo have any sense giving them away in turn for Star Points would also be a good move.

If its direct ports with no graphical differences I think they could easily do this on the cheap. And its not like Nintendo likes to pillage their fans for money like Sony does with their multi-tap.

Yes they will have a small cost I would imagine - but it may work via. a stars catalogue type service.

Even although N64 games are available, I'm never selling that amazing machine over in the corner there. *Points*

Seriously, though, currently wired up with 4 controllers and Goldeneye sitting in the slot, with Mario Kart 64, No Mercy and ISS98 nearby. If ever we get bored of some of the Gamecube's better multiplayer games we've got a great solution.

N64 = the best ever.

REvoultion should be a good console. Online is supposed to be FREE. The system will be cheap. Can you Imagine playing Super Smash Bros. Online?

Online itself will indeed be free, which I think is fantastic. I can play Mario Kart against people all over the world, and for a grand total of £0. Classy.

(I know I'm paying for the console, the game, the controller, etc, but I'm talking about additional costs, so before you start... shut up )

Im getting a 360, so won't be able to afford one. (Unless I win the PESFan comp )

I don't think it will live up to the standards.

Pah, get a job for a month. That should be enough to get a Revolution, as they're supposed to follow the Gamecube's lead and be dirt cheap from launch day. Well, £150 dirt, yeah (), but for a console in this day and age, that's a great price.

Especially seeing as there's so much scope for innovation, but also the ability play simple favourites like Smash Bros, Mario Kart and Metroid online for a fee of £0. And finally, you can download anything from a massive range of titles which have appeared on Nintendo systems in the past, giving you a good reason to sell all your old machines.

Trust me, it's going to far bypass the standards.
