Personally i think PDZ is gonna be brilliant, ive checked out all the long gameplay footage over the last week or so and it impresses me everytime i see it. The online modes should also be very good as were promised 32 players online which may increase to 50 if everything goes well. What does everyone else think of the game?

well if its even a patch on the n64 pd games then it will rule, in my opinion pd was better than goldeneye so i have a feeling we may see a halo beater in this one, but as far as im concerned, the way its looking it will rule, i just hope it isnt too short because i hate short games, imagine getting a 360 on xmas day then completing the only game you got for in in 4 hours

I didn't think Perfect Dark on the N64 was a more complete package than Goldeneye, but it was still the 2nd best FPS on the console. And maybe even 2nd best FPS ever. I still rate Goldeneye as the best, and still love to play it, 7/8 years down the line.
This should be good, though. I've actually heard some negativity surrounding it, but I'm confident it should be well worth the money. Especially over Live. |

the only reason i prefer perfect dark was the option for bots in multiplayer and you could do challenges which free radical copied in the time splitters games. when your bored i stoll love hooking up 12 bots vs me with insane settings. i can remember days where id be so close to winning but then id die at the alst moments, woth goldeneye i finished the game and didnt feel an urge to play the game again because compared to perfect dark is in my opinion inferior when it comes the multiplayer

Yeah, the features included certainly increased the longevity, and technically Perfect Dark was superior to Goldeneye. There were a few minor glitches and things that I didn't like, though, and it just didn't feel as original as Goldeneye did back in its day. Goldeneye was the first ever proper console FPS, and it was fantastic. Rarely has it been beaten, and for this reason I still love it.
The option to include bots in multiplayer, as well as guns such as the Laptop Gun and the Cyclone were great. The ability to play in some of the Goldeneye levels was a neat touch as well. Goldeneye is just too good, though, for me. I still play it quite a bit with 3 mates, and it still rocks.

Bumping this back up a bit, but I thought I'd do this rather than start another thread on it maybe.
Anyway. I played this yesterday and loved it. Sure, it was only a few games on multiplayer, but it's still quite a good game. It's what made me want an 360 so much. It's got me back into gaming! And, as my friend said, it's making the next Xbox360 the next N64. Don't get confused that he meant other than we had hours upon hours of fun playing multiplayer game (especially Perfect Dark) on the N64...the Xbox 360 will simply do this for us with better graphics! |

I had a quick play on PDZ and looks class...I'm a massive Goldeneye and PD64 fan so I'm well excited!
As soon as I can get rid of the missus for the day I'll have a blast online if anyone cares to join me.

Ive finally been having some brilliant multiplayer matches on PDZ over the last few days but at first i was liking and now im starting to like it more and more. Killing peeps with the grenade attachments makes it that much more fun.

In my opinion it's definitely worth it!
Not played single player (apart from Bot Deathmatch) but Multiplayer is great, worth the purchase for multiplayer alone!

I thought it was a a bit dull and repetative, your money would be better spent on COD2 imho.

COD2 has some laaag, and pdz is not dull and repetative, there way more modes in multiplayer and the levels are huge. The singleplayer also has loads of replay action (like it was bult to be), and especially on co-op. There's also online co-op which is a blast.

I don't know, this game is kinda blah.. i was hopeing for more for my first x360 game. i felt like i was playing a glorified Advent Rising with less interaction. Graphics are great but the gameplay i felt was a lil lacking. Its kinda worth messing with, but i would say rent it first

So far I've been quite impressed, but it's not been that great.
I think it feels a bit slow, but that's probably because I've spent so much time on TimeSplitters: Future Perfect in the last year or so. |
