I have seen the trailer and some screen shoots to this game and i must say the screen shoots look a bit bulky and the background looks plain.
I might be wrong these might just be early designs you have a look for yourself on www.gamespot.com |

I read the preview on OXM. Looking pretty good. It may stand up against GTA....

Looks poor..and wow at xbox 1..it's already looking outdated on graphics. Scarface game will obviously never be as good as the film, and they probably hired some cheap voice for tony montana..if it ain't pacino, i ain't buying it

Oh good another Grand Theft Auto rip off to look forward to. I wish game designers would put their effort into making an some original IP rather than clone a successfully game badly.

As for original IP, well. It's risky. And convoluted. There was a very good article somewhere recently (I'll try to find it) about how retailers think they know what we want, and they tell publishers what games they therefore want to sell. The publishers then use what retailers tell them to give a thumbs up or thumbs down to developers. This means that developers are more or less shooting in the dark when pitching games to publishers, and the response is based on a twice-removed idea of what gamers actually want. So developers don't really get much clues as to what gamers are looking for. Not only that, but it's still all based on shelf space. If you tried really hard, you could probably think of dozens of original games that were complete flops in terms of sales. Meanwhile, 50 Cent's crappy game sold really well. It wasn't risky, because it was a movie tie-in, a GTA type clone, and had a popular artist's name on it. We all say we want original games, but in truth, original games aren't inherently better than good sequels or rehashes. It's just that we remember the good, original games better than good unoiriginal ones. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
