Whats the best Splinter Cell and why ?
I think that Chaos Theory is the best in the series. Reason: Chaos Theory has amazing graphics, some of the best graphics ever seen in a Xbox game since Doom 3 and Halo 2. A great story involving Sam Fisher resolving a conflict between North and South Korea, featuring loads of great textures and outlines in the levels locations like the lighthouse, where the rocks have great textures, the best looking level in the game. Sam Fisher is knocking on abit this time round his age shows a bit like bits of gray highlights in his hair, but he still manages to get his job done, perhaps the best character ever seen in any videogame. The online mode is'nt bad either the graphics aren't as good as the single player, the VS mode was alright but no where near as good as the co op mode, where you team up with a friend in 2 player splitscreen or Xbox live, online is the best for this sort of thing. Theres a interesting twist in the co op where it tyes into the single player where the spies you play end up talking to Sam Fisher from the actual part of the single player in the Seoul mission, only this time its from the the spies point of view not Sams. Ok thats my reason, what do you think is the best Splinter Cell and why ? When SCDA arrives we all know thats going to be the best Splinter Cell off all time.

You weren't joking when you said you really like Sprintel Cell games...
Well i think the first one was better just because it was the first game. I remember the feeling when i saw those graphics, and the wonderful gameplay. From then on, the other SC games didnt take a big step in graphics department. Well, sure when you compare the 3rd and the 1st, the 3rd one look better, but not that much. Though they added a bunch of new gameplay elements which made the SC games so much fun and better than the first one.

Id have to go for chaos theory although the new one double agent looks pretty good on the 360... but what does it for me with chaos theory is the co-op side its great fun playing it with a mate.

Co op mode was great but I got bored of it after a while it was loads of fun online. I've never played Pandora Tomorow online though never got round to it.
I can see that Double Agent is going to be all about the single player going by the hollywood style plot. There may be online but the main focus is going to be on the single player.

Has anyone here tried chaos theory on the 360 and had problems with it? Versus is fine for me but whenever I go to play coop whether it's split screen or online it always crashes as the level is loading no matter what level im doing

I personally loved Pandora Tomorrow more than any other Splinter Cell game. The plot and length of the game was great. Chaos Theory was a great game of itself too but I thought Pandora Tomorrow was better by a mile. Plus the online mode wasn't too shabby either. I think the new Splinter Cell on the Xbox 360 though will completley change that though.
