Pro Evo 5?

Will be Pro Evo 5 be released for the 360?

I expect it will be out before Christmas. Dont expect much difference in terms of graphics.

PES6 will be the next 'next-gen' football game, making full use of the graphical engines.

Nice! I don't expect Graphics to be improved, I just want to make sure it's safe to sell my PS2

Would I be better buying it for the normal Xbox and taking advantage of the backwards gaming?

I thought that Pro Evo 5 was being touted for release in Autumn next year for the 360? This would basically mean it will be Evo 6 that is released. I can't see MS allowing a 360 specific version of Evo this year that had similar graphics to the current gen, when people can, hopefully, use the backwards compatibility feature to play the forthcoming release.

I'll be getting PES5 for my PS2 and PSP, then i'll wait for PES6. Depends though, I found the x-box controller layout quite hard to get to grips with when playing PES4, so i'll need to see.

I mean for the 360 though, since they'll be using wireless controllers, it may not be possible, unless you can bluetooth the PS3 controller up to it? Doubt that will be possible though.

360Monster, there has been a fair bit of confusion with regards to Pro Evo on the 360. The press releases a month or so back, seemed to point towards an imminent release for a specific 360 version of Evo. But when the full details came to light, Konami were basically only confirming that they were working on a 360 Pro Evo. We all expected a 360 version of Evo next year anyway, so all the initial press release achieved was to get all our hopes raised for a release relatively soon

I think it would certainly have been in MS best interests to, basically throw a bit of cash in Konami's direction for Pro Evo 5 to be released on the 360. I have seen some in game footage of FIFA Road to the World Cup, and the graphics are impressive. While Pro Evo 6, should be an absolutely amazing game, a graphically enhanced version of Evo 5 would have certainly benefited the release of the 360 this Christmas period. It is not only a popular game in Europe but also in Japan, and it would have been an excellent marketing weapon for the launch.

But enough of my ramblings, it was not to be, and we will have to wait until this time next year before we all collapse with amazement at Evo 360 on HDTV

And there is a Pro Evo being worked on for the next-gen's (both PS2 and 360). Expected release will be Autumn 2006.

It means the current Xbox version will not be taken over to the 360 and sold as another product, while essentially being the same. Porting = Move to another console.

Does anyone know if the Xbox version of PES5 will be playable over Live through the 360?
