Official Halo thread

Simple, just wondering how many people on here still do?

Nope haven't played it for ages and ages nor do I intend to either. Last time I played it nothing had changed from the last time, it was still full of chopsy internet hardmen who sounded about 10 who were only good at trash talking and nothing else. There are a few people on here that still play it though.

I haven't played it in months because I hate using BC on the 360, and it's really not that good without friends anyway.

I'm just holding out until Halo 3, then I'll have my fill of Halo

I plan to just as soon as I get my component cables back, up until now I've been using VGA cables, and since I had to have my 360 replaced I can't download the maps and updates due to the component thing.

Then I'll be back on it regularly, playing customs and what not.

Why do peopel always ignore polls?

yeah i still play halo2 but only if mates are playing? h2 is crap now though!

A couple of days/weeks back i was back to playing it regulary (almost for about 3-4 hours everyday).
Before that i used to play double team matchmaking with a mate from school all the time, we used to be a pretty beasty double team and it was really funny proberly one of the best times i had on live was playing it with him. After at least 7-8 months of not playing the game regularly i went back to it, bringing a friends list of Xbox 360 owners who didn't play the game anymore.
So at first i started playing unranked FFA MM, got the jist of the game again and moved to play Team hardcore, stumbled alot due to the fact that when i used to play the game i didn't know any button combinations like the double shot, BxB's or BxR's existed.
Aswell as finding it harder to play, i also had nobody to play with, most noticeably my friend who i used to play double team with regulary. I also had to play on American hosts all the time which wasn't fun.
In the past few days i have had connection problems (Broadband supplier without notice sending my service offline for 3+ days, complicated router settings being changed and no longer working) so i havent been playing recently, but if it wasn't for those problems then i would still be playing.

I got into double team for a while with a mate, we got up to 30's at one point, after that it was just hectic.

The most fun on this game has to be customs though, not the typical non-competitive ones though (zombies, glitches etc), but ones that you do play seriously like MLG FFA as it's full of crazy "OMG WTF LOLZ" moments. I hope I can get on a few people off my FL to get back on that game now, I need to start practicing again.

Well, I'll be around to give you some easy kills if you want.

I sort of want to go back to playing this every now and then again.

i cant play too oftern becouse i regulary swap hardrives around n it takes games to download all the masp again becouse when u un plug ur harddrive and put it back again u lose all the maps...

actually old school BTB was teh best.

Hardcore is the best gametype in MM, Team Slayer's alright but later there's far too much cheating later on, but the winning streaks you can get in the earlier levels are unbelievable, like getting from level 1 to 27 without losing a match.

Jam... you know customs beat Hardcore though, unless you have a kick --- 4 man team that communicate properly, doesn't matter which team gets host then, you'd kick ---.

I used to before the 360... now I can't be arsed

iv had some amazing LAN custom matches in my house with like 8 people round, but team hardcore online is mint

I'll be back on this soon kicking ---, if any of you guys wanna do some customs, or play some MM hit me up and we'll get some games going occasionally.

Me and Jam Man will be starting a little 2v2 thing soon, so if anyone's up to some skins give us a shout.
