PS3 to blame for GTA4 delay

"Take-Two management stumbled badly for the first time during their tenure," commented Pachter. "While the delay of GTA IV was clearly not the fault of new management, we believe that it should have been better understood several months ago, and should have been communicated to investors much earlier than today. "The company has begun an initiative to improve the green light process for new projects, but given the delays of Manhunt and GTA, its process for monitoring projects under development appears to be a failure," he said.

Well they are struggling to get the Unreal Engine running on the PS3 so I dont see this being so far fetched. Surely by this stage there should be some PS3 specific images released (everything so far has been from the 360 version). Not looking good for Sony's Dust Magnet.

I was expecting a new post. Just that Epic keep going on about how it's working fine on the PS3. But as we can see... devs say something different

Well it was noted that the game had some issues following demos played by several people from within the video game industry. To say that it's delay is due to the PS3 is mere speculation. People haven't tried out the PS3 version in any format so I'm led to believe so then again there could be little truth in it afterall. At the end of the day the game was buggy and had issues so something had to be done to address these faults so yet again we get another highly anticipated game release pushed back. I should be well busy with other games at that time so I'll survive.

Well whats the nonsence Rockstar saying that its easier to develop for the ps3 as they have a guaranteed HDD and Blu-Ray - thus they have to limit what they do for the 360 as not every console has an HDD and therefore they can't stream data of it and vice versa. Me thinks the 360 fannyboys are upset (i admit i was more than looking forward to it come October) and will do anything to blame ps3s!

Theres no rush for it seeing the ammount of gd games due for release soon.

Go play Vice City if you's are that sad about it ???

You realise what you just said is bollacks? Because Rockstar themselves have stated that's not true.

Until there's an official statement I don't know but it could either be this or that they're having trouble compressing it onto one DVD for the 360.

Really don't care tbh, I wasn't that bothered with it and now it's just one less game to save for this fall.
