Japan Gaming

I was just watching Gamer tv on Bravo and it done a special report on the console in japan.
The Xbox 360 has sold around 300,000
Ps3 500,000
Wii 3,000,000 +

The psp has sold 4,000,000 i think.

But the DS has sold over 17,000,000 Woah

This just shows that console sales etc depend on the standout games and inovations rather than performance. I think this only applies in japan though. Because of games like Dragon Quest and all those Mech games. plus crazy ----e like Wario etc on the Wii.

yep the japs love anything Nintendo.

japanese are very patriotic.

Handheld gaming is popular because of the long commutes that the japanese have. Its not that uncommon for them to commute 2 hours each way.

Games like Brain Training etc have been huge hits as they are aimed at all age groups not just the usual younger generation.

The homes are generally small and space is at a premium, very few households have more than one console.
