Horizontal.

Just becuase that would fit best since my TV Stand has shelves and the one my consoles are on isn't tall enough. And I don't like them vertical.

Horizontal - same as my PS2 now - the only way it will fit on my shelf, otherwise I would have it Vertical

Well i could have it vertical because i have enough room on my shelves (seeing as i have a slimlone PS2 ) but i'v always preferred consoles horizontally because it looks nicer!

I'm going horizontal because it won't fit vertically in the place where it's going.

Vertically for two reasons :

1. It just seems right.
2. It saves me space.

Mine will be going horizontal, my dog and 4 year-old sister will be interested in it so I don't want to risk it falling over.

Horizontal basically because it fits in where it should and there is less chance of it breaking, I remember with the ps2 when i had it vertical i used to drop the disks putting them in an it was a pain in the erse.

Erm, regardless of whether it's horizontal or vertical, it'll take up the same space.

I'm going horizontal, only way to fit into my TV shelves.

Yes it will take up the same amount of space but I don't know how to explain it so look at this diagram:

If I have my 360 sitting in my TV cabinet...it will have to be horizontal...but if by the time I get a new TV cabinet and there's enough room, I'll be laying it virtical next to the TV, or on my desk (which is right next to the TV)

It's pretty easy to explain, isn't it? The size doesn't change when you put it vertical, if you measure it with a rule it'll be exactly the same as it is if you measure it horizontally.

Also, the vertical in your diagram is about half the size
