Changing Gamer Profile Email Address

Now the update has happened, I want to change the email address linked to my gamer profile to the one I use for Instant Messaging but I can't work out how to do it.

All help appreciated.

EDIT: I emailed Microsoft a while ago and they said I had to do it on the console... but I still can't work it out.

I was under the esumption you couldn't, but now that I think about it recently someone did do it, might have been on here, might not. But I think they lost game saves, or points, or something. Cant really remember.

Q: The email address assigned to my Xbox LIVE account is different to the email address I use on my PC for Windows LIVE messenger. Is there a way for me to still access my messenger account?
A: Not at this time. We are working on the ability to allow users to change the email address they originally used when signing up for Xbox Live. The feature will be available in an upcoming release.
