Thats right this old yet classic beat em up is being released for the 360 as an arcade title (as reported on our main page) read the article HERE (http://www.360monster.com/newspost.php?id=0000002006)
The legendary arcade classic that introduced gamers to co-op street-brawling action is back and looking better than ever. Team up with a friend or prepare to go it alone, because Double Dragon is hitting Xbox LIVE Arcade Wednesday 9th May 2007, at 09.00 GMT.
It costs just 400 MS points so it isn't that expensive really. It features
Two-player co-op multiplayer locally or over Xbox LIVE
Special extras such as a look at the original Japanese and U.S. Double Dragon sales fliers
Gameplay with either the original graphics or with new high-definition graphics
All new music
Hints and tips for newcomers
Three leaderboards
Customizable button configurations
Ability to earn up to 12 Achievements and 200 Gamerscore pointsThis is a definite buy for me and I consider it to be a gaming classic, afterall I am the gaming veteran!
If however you don't want to purchase it for your 360 I come up with this alternative, the free PC version HERE (http://www.games4win.com/download/abandoned/double_dragon.exe)
The controls are a bit dodgy but you can change them. To change them load up the game and go to options, set config and where you see port 1 keyboard click define or if you have a suitable joypad you can use that, its as simple as that. The default controls are the arrow/cursor keys to move, Space bar to jump, Shift key is to throw a punch and Ctrl key to kick.
Enjoy! Its like being in the 80's all over again! Nostalgia for the win! :p
