how come theirs not many games coming out

i was just wondering why their not knocking games out at the rate of last generation playstation 2 had thousands of games mind you most were ----. is microsoft holding some quality control over the games been released on the 360??????????? stopping the crap you get on the playstation

Ye but its worth the wait with the amout of games coming out in the summer, no sun for me lol

yeah im not on about the quality of the games well i am weres the ---- ones that come out every day on the ps2

yeah there always seems to be a drought on the 360, like maybe a good game every month....thats why games like Gears are still the most played! not much coming out until summer time really.....:(

I think the clear reason is the development time in producing titles like Gears and with time comes cost and with that the quantity if reduced because the time and cost scared publishers in putting all their money into unique and many games projects. I think that's it all in a nutshell.

I think with the the likes of Arcade and PS Network this will fill the game with developers and bigger publishers taking on those unique projects that cost much less and is developed in less time. Many of those could trigger new genres and maybe then bigger publishers can take a piece of them into a bigger market.

Add to that the infamous summer drought where publishers again prefer to target holiday period where the weather isn't warmer where people are outside catching rays.

So with that you could assume Publishers are the reason, that and their money/business agendas behind it all.
