Do you care about achievements and gamerscore points?

I dont really care for them i mean im no gamerscore whore , but i do like trying for certain achievements like in crackdown etc. But i wont really just play games for the points as king kong put me off that idea, that really did suck!

i totally depends on the game for me,
crackdown was easy achievements like just playing through the game and having fun.
i recently got the zombie genocider on dead rising, which is to kill 53, 596 zombie or something, but i got it purely for the achievement, not for the points.
and then you get games like superman returns, im going to play it till i finish it, but no way am i gonna play it for 12 hours or go round lifting heavy stuff up not unless it all of a sudden gets interesting!!!
then u get games like farcry, which is a brilliant games, but doesnt reward you with achievements, but i still play it.

Very Good Point.
I really enjoyed playing PGR3 both for the game and achievements. Completing the game on Gold was a great achievement for me, God damn Platinum (Y)
Same with Rainbow Six - I am loving this online and enjoyed getting the online achievements :D

I also enjoyed getting Achievements in GoW- completing Insane was a challenge but the satisfaction after completing it was great :p

I will go out of my way to get acheivements in games but they've gotta be good games and I'm not prepared to sit there day and night getting the ridiculous ones or play crap like King Kong.

King Kong is a really good game, rent it out and try it.

I dont care about my total gamerscore, more about totals for games. I want 1000pts on Gears, for the gamerpic and the acheivement. For me its more about getting hard acheivements than getting lots of easy ones. I look at some peoples profile and think, "wow, fair play, you got that acheivement!". Anyone who completes CoD3 on veteran for instance, i just cant do it and dont have the patience to keep trying.

Yes.I care about them but now I've reached 31k I'm not so bothered how high my score is I still like to gain points though.40k would be nice but I'm no hurry to get there (Y)

Ive just reached 10,000 about a month ago and i have had the console since release day :D I just play through them at the start. Lots of people seem to have a 1000 pt headstart on me because they have played KingKong, so i might rent that one out:p

depends on the game, they are getting harder recently, for instance GoW. I have had it since release at the end of November, played it far more than any other game, but i still only have 7500 kills, 3/4 of the way towards the seriously acheivement. Fusion Frenzy took about an hour to get 1000.

I am, but im now not liking it as I dont find much enjoyment out of the games, and find myself bored. But got Spiderman 3 so bring on the fun!!!!

On a cba moment at the moment but I've been a gamerscore whore for sometime now and I'm known for it so gotta keep it that way. I don't look at my total score anymore and feel proud that it's getting higher like I used to do, don't get me wrong the higher my total is the better for me but I just lost the fire a bit to bother at the moment. It's much better to get hard certain achievements.

I don't really care about the amount of points i have. as long as i enjoyed getting them. Dead Rising has some great ones that are brilliant fun to try and get. I definitely wouldn't buy a game just for the points from it. I buy my games for enjoyment!
The achivement points are just a nice extra and are quite addictive to get

Didn't think u could get much easier for GS than NBA 2K6 :p A game which i bought from TOYSRUS for 10 quid, then traded back in at blockbusters and got £11 back lol

Yup, King knog is an easy game, but its mainly touted as a GS game because its so short.

I've had my 360 since UK launch and as you can see I've played loads and loads of games, my gamerscore could be a lot higher than it is currently (completed some games on the missus' gamertag). My gamerscore is however of little importance to me, I play the games I want and in by doing so I may get an achievement, I may not. Either way I'm not bothered. I have specifically done some achievements though but only because I liked the sound of them and they were fun to do, not because I wanted to boost my gamerscore. At the end of the day you get nothing for your gamerscore so I'm not bothered in the slightest.

To Be Hounest I dont really care about it, But... When im playing another console I always say to myself "Man I wished I had G Score" Or Acheivements"

I suppose at least with the achievement aspect you have something to try and unlock in a game, where as on other consoles there is no achievements feature. I haven't missed anything while on my shiny new PS3 though!

Rainbow six is amazing, by far the best clancy game i think but the gamescore is hard to get. I am currently stuck on a bit so i have been neglecting it lol
