In the 1st instance I would contact the retail outlet you bought it from (if you have the receipt). Mention the sale of goods act and the unit not being `Fit for Purpose'.

You might need a few calls to head office to get it sorted but you will eventually get a new one and not a refurb unit that MS would send you.

If you dont have the receipt call MS and get them to repair it.
