Hi Guys,
Thinking of grabbing a PS3 at the weekend and wondering whether Genji is worth getting for £20? Seems to get average reviews... just wondering what your opinions are.
Cheers.

lol, Maybe I should play the demo first. You can download demos for free like on Xbox Live right?
It's a bad game. Don't touch, really, just don't.

Yep...demo is appalling, avoid like the plague...especially seeing as a few places are selling decent PS3 games at £30.

Well you can see how my tastes are different than all of your's, Genji DOTB is a right cracker. Looks stunning - carnt say what the demo level is though and if im honest the game is quite hard due to akward camera but you live with it
It is made by the same fella who did the DMC series (so far) and Res Evil's. It is like those Dynasty Warriors though set to a story and i like it.
It well worth the £20 play.com are asking for it.
But if its a good game you are wanting for the ps3 go with Res FOM, Motostorm or RR7 - all can be bought for £30 on play.com aswell.

Genji Days Of The Blade is an average game but it does have that really annoying camera angle issues that Lenseleven mentioned. If you like Dynasty Warrior type games then you'll more than likely want to give this game a go too. Your best bet would be Resistance Fall Of Man though as its really good (Y).

I'm definately getting Motorstorm and Resistance... may take a look at RIIDDDDDDDDGEEEEEEEEE RAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRR :P.
I wouldn't get ridge racer. I may have only played the 360 version but I would of thought they would of had the same type of gameplay. Which is boring.
I'd advise against Ridge Racer 7 as well. It's basically Ridge Racer 6, with a smoother frame rate and motion controls.

Personally if you like Ridge Racer then try it out and please ignore the above comments...why? yes it may contain the tracks from the 360 ver which was RR6 but it looks better, plays better as Art said much better frame rate. Also it contains all of the rr6 tracks aswell a few more tracks than the 360 version inc the original RR circut! in HD. It is well worth £29.99 (i paid £40 and still happy). I loved the 360 version but this is better.
There is a demo on the playstation network as there is for others so i would suggest you try them all.
You can easily make a US account up and there are loads more demos on there like Armoured Core 4, Full Auto 2 and MLB etc etc. I also have a japanese account set up through Hong Kong (its in english you see) and you can get demo's such as Everybody's Golf etc. There are also 2 tasty in game footage trailers of DMC 4
----s sake lense. Notice how I said "GAMEPLAY" not "this is the same game as the 360 version". There was no 360 fanboyism going on. I just don't want him to waste money on what is a ---- game. It's repetitive and the cars handle stupidly. The announcer is annoying (yes I know it can be turned off) and the AI is crap.
Wait till a decent Outrun game comes out. Then again if you have played this game before and liked it then go ahead and get it.

Why are you having a go at me - i didnt say anything nasty just not to go off everyone's negative attiude towards a game (YOU EVEN HAVENT EVEN PLAYED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Maybe Joe likes RR games - you dont so why advise someone to not try a game when everyone has different tastes.
You no Toby - i was one of only a few people that actually liked you - but since i got a ps3 you have been nothing but a nasty little ---- to me and i can see why you are hated! - so ---- OFF and let me reply to people's post when i think i can help - thats not fanboyisim

First i've heard or seen of this 'Hatred'

Unless RR has changed its gameplay... it doesn't matter that I haven't played it. RR was a good game years ago. However Namco have only seemed to upgrade the visuals. Just the same as Tecmo have done with DOA.
I'm advising Joe because there are always 2 sides of a discussion. I also noticed he hasn't played the 360 version.
To your last bit. Ah well that's forums for you. (Y)

I like you Tobez....well I like shooting you when we're on the same teams if that counts.
Lens...how about a thread on how to make foreign accounts on the PS3? It could be easy but I haven't looked, either way it'll be a decent thread.

I haven't played RR6 although I did enjoy the originals and the PSP versions. I will most likely get it but maybe wait til I can get it for maybe £25.

Just download the demos and make your own mind up about whether its good or not. Plus I've sent you details of how to create a US account ready for when you get your PS3. If you want a do a Japanese one then Lenseleven is your man.
