Has anyone thought about getting this? Usually games from a movie arent that good but this just looks amazing. Swinging from building to building! Hitting some guy in the face with some Web!!!!

Yup, thats pretty much what you do to swing around, you push out the remote forward and press a button and you'll shoot a web and start swinging, then you have to do the same with the nunchuckkkkkkk and hit a trigger to shoot another web. Pretty cool stuff.

I'm in two minds wether to get this or not - the ps3 has an exclusive character and level (providing you purchase the collectors ed) but it retails at £54.99 only at GAME. The normal version and 360 version are both rrp £39.99.

I enjoyed both spidermans but i have to ask myself if i have the time to play a game like this now - im liking the ps3 pick up and play style games ive got at the moment see.

But i reckon this could be a good game and looks good.

Yep, the previous ones were great, and I hope this is much better because we will have the first great film adaption game*.

Well i have just pre-ordered this from GAME - the collectors ed which has the bonus character and level. You can use the New Goblin to play the story out aswell which is pretty good. However, this ed also has a race mode where you can travel on that hover board zipping through various parts of Manhattan.

Note that the Collectors Ed is only for the ps3 - sorry 360 owners

Well i know its £15 more but there is a lot more to the game with the Collectors Ed...you can also keep your £55 a bit longer as its been pushed back to the ''middle of May'' for the ps3.

Just what are Sony playing at...Spiderman 3 for nextgen will be out on the 360 first lol. Its Sony's own picture and ps3 owners in UK (PAL) wont get their hands on it straight away but 360 owners will.

Come on Sony/Activison if its out for the ps2 on friday with the rest then whats that say about the support for the ps3.

Well I just cancelled and ordered the 360 version instead.

I just want to play the game as I enjoyed Spiderman 2 on Xbox a great deal.

Cheaper and no delay. Better deal for me than an extra bit of game.

If there was an absolutely huge amount of extra content then that would have swung (no pun intended) it for me. But although playing as the New Goblin would be cool... ultimately it is a Spiderman game I want to play and it would be Spiderman I return to play again and again (assuming it's as good as Spiderman 2).

Well according to GAME for next generation consoles there are 2 PS3 versions (1 collectors edition and 1 normal edition) 1 Xbox 360 version (normal edition) and 1 Wii version (normal edition).

All I can say is the game is a good one and worthy of pre-order. So do the developers a good one, snatch it up if you are a fan of previous versions or spidey himself.

I'm not allowed to go into detail just yet but I agree the game is very like Spiderman 2, it simply feels like a next generation update of the old game - But the old game was fun, and as long as you have not hammered all the fun out of it, you will find more of the same fun in this title.

The combat for one feels far better which is welcome.

Played for about 20 minutes. Very like Spider-Man 2(Y) and seems pretty good so far. Although I found the floating love hearts quite strange lol (you'll see).

I think it's worth it. I just went on for a few minutes and ended up on for an hour and a half lol. Just exploring and taking on thugs. Not done any of the plot lines yet.

I got this game today i am going to see what it is like so far it is ok easy to pick up and play Missions seem a bit short and the graphics are ok, may swap for comand & conquer next week if i am near the end of the game as i have 7 days to swap it.

Gamestation you get 7 days to see if you like a game and until the 7 days you can swap for another game but u can only do it a maximum of 3 times i think, then you cant do it again.Or if you did not want a game you could get the credit note and wait for a game to come out you want.Gamestation does not refund your money though.

Yep it is basically. Still a decent enough game though as far as I've played so far. Though there are a couple of issues that I've had while playing. I was climbing up a building in the game and it looked as if I am climbing up on my back (opposite to what it should be on hands and knees) and some thugs being killed but still on the radar or you are not able to find them (usually just move away and it completes itself). Niggly issues but none that have really spoiled the gameplay really.

I found I had to change the camera settings to something a bit more user friendly and the radar isn't that accurate but apart from that I've liked what I've played (Y). Well worth a rental not sure how much replay value it has once its been completed but I did notice the download content part in the pause menu so I wonder what will be released for it. Multiplayer would have been a good laugh but its sadly not to be.

This game is worth a rent as you can complete the story in 2 days if you play it quiet a bit.On the gameing side the camera angle when climbing up a wall is pretty awkward and all the vehicles wheels do not move, now it would not of been hard for the developers to make the car wheels turn when they move just looks like a box moveing along the floor, but apart from that it is a pretty good game visuals are good missions are good and the button timeing where you have to press certain buttons is a pretty nice feature but overall mainly because of the lack of things to do in the game i would give it 6/10

Well with regards to the ps3 version and collectors aswell it is now released on the 18th of May - two weeks later due to Activision wanting to charge £49.99 for standard and Sony saying no £39.99 for standard and £54.99 for Collectors Ed.

I'm at the end of the game now with just 2 missions left and they are both pretty hard. Also I'd like to say that Black suited Spiderman rocks compared to the normal one.

Yep - in the collectors ed you can play the full game or a large part of it as the New Goblin or is that the Black Spidy im not sure. I am sure though that there are 10 bonus levels and race ones where you zip around on the board. With a host of extras on another BD disc the extra £15 is worth it.

I have 3 missions left am about 69% through the game and i did not get to play Goblin, played Scorpion that was pretty kool how they allowed you to controll Scorpion though. I agree Black Spider kicks ass Normal is a -----.

You will get to play as the New Goblin it must be in one of your last remaining missions but I won't spoil it for you. I thought Scorpion would have been a good character to have too.

Received my prize (Spider-Man 3 CE) Thursday morning. Have to say I'm not impressed with the PS3 version. No metal case as promised, frame-rate is god awful after playing 360 version. Button prompts just feel tacked on.. like they just copied and pasted pictures of the PS3 buttons over the 360 ones. Graphics - although pretty much identical - just seem.... not quite as polished as the 360 version.

Yep - im sure i heard or read that the CE came in a metal tin with a bonus BD/DVD aswell - prob why the price was the same as the normal edition now and that was prob the delay.

I agree that some of the button's looked tacked on - they do in the 360 ver aswell though (welcome to multi-console gaming) as for the frame rate then i see no glitches or pop-up and load times are spot-on (due to some HDD installation) - feels the same as 360 play wise just loads quicker. The graphics are the same as the 360 - though i admit they look a bit too sharp -maybe because the ps3 uses HDMI which sharpens games more the component.

Having said that the game is actually quite good so far, fair enough its let down by fiddly controls and camera -but that is the norm on most games now. I've tried and failed to play with the New Goblin with sixaxis motion control - sticks ftw!
