Free Blu Ray

Just got an E-mail from Sony saying that, because I registered my PS3 early, I am getting a free copy of Casino Royale on Blu-Ray! Pretty happy about that, I have wanted to see it for a while. Shame I can't watch it in HD yet though:(. Did anyone else register in time to get something free?

Edit: My mistake; you need to register for Playstation Network, not register your console(Y)

Its a great film and a nice freebie to get with the launch of the PS3. I got a 2 copies of Spiderman on UMD when I registered my PSP a while back.

The transfer to DVD is stunning so the BluRay version should be outstanding :)

zthere are 500,000 of these being given away apparantly. Registered my account weeks before getting the PS3 , and just completed the registration the day i got it. No email though....

It would kinda suck as i bloody bought it from Amazon ! And with that many floating around its gonna be worth nowt on ebay !

Mine just came in the post this morning....nice of them aswell because i just bought the Remote control to go with my expanding collection of Blu-Ray's (currently 4:p)

yea......i looked but they are worh sod all on there now as lets face it , nearly everyone who owns a bluray player in the UK ( ie a PS3 ) is getting a free copy.......so the used value is about £5 ! That'll teach me.....

Casino Royale is the best Bond in ages. And you really cant complain if your getting it for free.

Well I downloaded the Blu-ray trailer and it didn't look that good to me and I did say I haven't had an email so I can complain since I'm not getting it :) :p.

To answer everyones ?'s i received an e-mail sometime last week saying that i was one of the first 500K to register their consoles so i would be getting a free copy of Casino Royale within 45 days - which it came only after a week so i would expect them to start coming.

To be honest when it came i thought someone had sent me a seedy ---- dvd as the packaging was black and red and the case didnt seem like a Blu-Ray (typical box) that because its slighty thinners than norm. But its a great movie and i tried it and it looks great.

They are on their way - theres a trailer for Spidey 2 in HD on Casino Royale and in said coming soon.

Now i just want Goodfellas to come to Region B (Us) and The Departed is due out in June.

I had a red and black package greet me this morning. Yep you guessed it I got Casino Royale even though I've had no confirmation email or anything. The missus hates James Bond films so unless she's bored I'll be the only one watching it. I'll watch it even though I don't think it looks all that good.

But Casino Royale is great and it looks stunning in high def i watched it on Monday night and Eva Green looks even better.
