I assume most people have noticed this Site's now overwhelming Fanboyisum, I will not name name's but It might be worth pondering how useful all this crap is.

However much it may pain you or others Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony, never always get it right...I know this may be hard to take in but I will let you consider it for a few seconds.

So with regards this Site and it's expansion the way I see it, is that you will just have to live with the fact that some people may prefer other consoles. I am also aware a lot of comments are jokes, but when it's happening all the time....It begins to get old, very fast.

In the End, What do you lose from a Member choosing PS3 over the Xbox 360 or vice versa?

I personally may be over reacting to what is completely harmless fun but It doesn't seem fair to me, that when a Member creates a thread all they get is harassment from the other side. If they have a PS3 or Xbox 360 then they have already made their bed and will have to lay in it, So Deal with it.

If they want advice on what System they want they will ask for it, If they want your opinion on why it sucks again they will ask. There is no problem in asking questions or even saying bad comments but ask yourself this...

Can you truly judge a game or system you haven't used?

I havent really witnessed any of this somehow, or you're seeing something im not. To me, its a forum, all comments can not be taken to heart, and most of the time you cant take them literally either. Id say its mainly harmless fun.

i have a 360 and ive used a PS3, played 3 games at PC world and didnt think much of it. To be fair, their HDTV's werent as good as my one, but all three games i played have better versions on the 360, except Motorstorm, i liked that but its only got 6 tracks or so.

I cant say that licenses me to comment, but from what ive seen so far, im not impressed. I know the potential is there to be better than the 360, but its not being used now. I also know i will buy one in a year or so time, when the price is nearer £300 and i have £300 to spend.

Yeah, when PS3/Wii Monster go live and new members flock in there is bound to be some fanboyis, it is almost inevitable, At the moment though I dont see any problems, sure there are some comments here and there(Some made by myself) but it hasn't caused any big arguments or no members have left becuase of it, so at the moment it is harmless fun.

I agree, I just think people just need to consider the effect it may be having, this is more of a thought rather than a complaint because I would of done something about it.

It is funny to a degree but some people might actually want to discuss the game, post their setup or even talk about Online instead of getting Sony w00t or Xbox 360 FTW. It just brings the forums done to a whole Fanboy level I have never witnessed before on here.

I dont think anything is meant as being nasty..just we as Console Monster yes console monster not 360monster anymore should refrain from slagging members off and/or making fun of one particular console (which 99% havent played). I dont personally enjoy been labled a sony fanboy - im hitting 30 soon i grew out of things like that ages ago. If i bought a ps3 - i would like to be able to make comments within a ps3 thread and not have to have people say that's crap - do you see what i mean.

Now im a good example - i had 2 360's and didnt like them in the end so i opted for the ps3..yes i have had fun within threads but there comes a point where people should stay out unless they can contribute. But the only things i contribute to the 360 sections now are bargins or if people need help on something i have played or can help.

I also i had a mate who was joining up - yet desided against it having appeared as a guest and looking at ps3 threads that were made up of childish remarks -and he is a close friend who i know...and there's me promoting it!

Nothing is nasty we/i know but it dont set a good example for multiplatform gamers or one console only.

Oh how im really looking forward to the new sites!

I agree, some of the threads that were just one might benefit from being turned into Multi-Platform Threads. As it would save alot of duplication, as it's not as if those threads are posted in very often.

Regards this thread, it was more of a thought than a complaint, as when you look in the PS3 Monster section all you are hit by is mainly very negative, off-topic or mockery comments by Xbox 360 Fanboys.

As for Blaze Lord if you have a problem with my Moderating or Lack of it then I suggest you speak to the Admin about it.

What it comes down to is that people, whatever console they have should be able to come here and relax. Chat with like-minded people and have a laugh. On the other hand there will always be that "Fanboi" side of things which no gaming site can ever get rid of. I love playing games and I love having all three consoles but I would not flame other people if they did not share my opinion.

As forums rules say we have to keep on topic and try not to slag each other off. Sure a bit of banter is great fun and even if it is heated, there is some fun to be had. When it degrades into console/personal bashing, then it looses the whole fun it once had. If people feel the need to go fanboi then try not to spread your opinions all over the forums. Everything has its place.

As long as the mods are there and they can clamp down on an nasty attacks then Console Monster will be fine. :)

I agree - what started this off was me taking with Big D on how i carnt or anyone else make a thread without members jumping in and adding comments that arent relevant to the topic. Thats my gripe. To be honest when these other sites join it will be the same for everyone else as it is now for me. You are always going to get people like that - which carnt be helped, however im here aswell as others to stop that. As you said the whole point of a thread is to keep on track of what the threads about. I made a thread about flOW on the ps3 - it was bombared with people saying its ---- - even though they havent played it! - there is a flash version but i didnt ask for the flash version opinion! - im not upset with people just i would like them to refrain from the need to spam up threads which they really carnt comment on - that's all -as im sure one day soon they'll be asking a mod to help them with something?

As soon as the New Sites up this kind of crap hopefully won't continue, Raide put it exactly how it should be there is no problem with light hearted banter but just look through the PS3 Monster section and I think you'll find by Reading them you will realise alot of innocent threads where destroyed.

I'm not saying no one can have fun, I'm not even blaming anyone. I merely pointing out if you actually want to discuss PS3 or Xbox 360 properly we will have to stop being lame ass fanboys and just jumping on threads.

Obviously if you have suggestions then make them, don't try and prove a point for ruining them as all the Mods come on here to enjoy themselves not trawl through crap because for some reason people have unbound loyalty to a brand name.

Im sorry but it's a ps3 game i was asking about and therefore in my opinion i wasnt happy people coming in and saying its ----e etc..when clearly they hadnt played it. The Flash version may appear similar but its not, now if you have played the ps3 version then you would know what i was on about and i would welcome comments made not the ones i was given.

Please remember i am trying to make threads so that people with a ps3 can go to there and gather or post information on it. Maybe its because im older or more sensible (after all i am a moderator) that i dont find people spaming up theads funny. yes have a laugh but there's other threads for that isnt there?

EDIT - Please remember also this site is wanting to attract new mwmbers of the ps3 community and/or Wii - seeing that a few threads have ended up slagging the ps3 it wont look good will it

Second of all, attracting or not attracting new members for the PS3/Wii community has much, much less to do with comments on a thread, compared with the fact that ps3monster.com still redirects to 360monster.com !!

Still, I understand what you're saying. I just think either of the 2 flow threads are terrible, terrible examples of what you're trying to say. The vast, vast, vast majority of the posts on the 2 fl0w threads were entirely civil, and logical, and sensible. The only difference you mentioned between the Flash version and the PS3 version is the PS3 "looks a bit better" and "using the sixaxis is part of the fun." Had you actually gone into the sixaxis, there might have been an actual discussion. Regardless, if people find the "experience" boring, it doesn't matter what platform it's on. In fact, one person who had played it on the PS3, and said he didn't enjoy it, you responded by saying "you aren't playing it right!" /eyeroll.

Complaining about the threads, more than once, makes you look worse and worse. There was one, one post that could be considered spam, and IT WASN'T EVEN ON THE THREAD YOU CREATED.

Which brings me to my third point. You aren't that special. You certainly aren't an exemplar of sensible and mature behavior, and your mod-title does very, very, verrrry little to support that claim. Bringing that up makes you look not only infantile, but foolish. (Which brings us back to a quick stop at my first point. Get over yourself.) What's more, your "anymore and they will be deleted!" is at best childish, and at worse, an abuse of the moderator power. The power you earned, remember, for being mature and sensible. I can't remember the last time a post got deleted for being merely off-topic, certainly not by the same mod who created the thread. I'm sure it has to be against the moderator rules you were sent. Remember, the two Admins themselves have said this forum, and other forums in general, is designed to and meant to facilitate discussion and debate. Just because someone posts an opinion that you don't agree with is in no way a reason to react as poorly as you have.

Well there's some points i agree with you - having the sites best interests at heart, but for you to lable me a great moderator then not sensible then you are wrong. Once, or maybe if, the site gets an even amount of PS3/360 owners then it'll either make or break the site...either way don't take it personally when someone is just trashtalking a piece of electrical equipment.
