Worst Console Ever?

Since I can't find anything on this topic via our lovely search function I've created this thread where you guys can discuss what the worst console is/are. All the consoles mentioned I have played on.

Personally I thought the Philips CDi was a load of rubbish as were the games that came out for it. Thankfully I didn't get one but a mate of mine did and how I laughed :D.

Ah the Amiga CD32, that was another failure. Although Amiga were quite good computers I suppose with a wealth of games on their other systems this just didn't take off. I remember the controller feeling extremely weird on this when I played it up my mate Phil's house.

I also played this at a mates house some god knows how many years ago and it was bloody rubbish. The Sega Mega CD & Mega CD II never quite really took off around by me anyway. After playing my mates one I totally didn't want one and I was interested at first too :$.

Ah the Sega 32X. The same mate who had the Amiga CD32 had this so I should have known what to expect. I remember playing Virtua Fighter and Virtua Racing Deluxe on it. At the time the games were amazing but again it was doomed to failure. Hardly any game released for it. It was more of an add on more than anything. I even think my mate still has his :zip:.

This is not my selection but its the selection of my mate Phil (who also had an Amiga CD32 & Sega 32X lets not forget). He had this for his birthday and he hated it with a passion. The controller is and I quote "The worst piece of ---- I have ever had the misfortune to put in my hand!". As you can see Phil was fond of his Jaguar! :D. I think it was a case of too many button rather than it being absolutely rubbish because the graphics were pretty good really for its time.


I know there are going to be some people who disagree with whats mentioned above but lets hear your horror or joy stories to go with the worst console ever.

Does the Gameboy Colour count as a system? If it does then I will say that, ---- battery life, no backlight meant that you have to play it so the screen was pointing towards the lights, Pokemon Yellow was the only good game I played on it.

-Nintendo (Y)
-Super Nintendo (Y)
-Mega Drive (Y)
-Playstation (Y)
-Dreamcast (Y) - Was before it's time.
-N64 (Y) - Brilliant!
-PS2 (Y) - I wasn't keen on it but it was a very good console
-Xbox (Y) - Hours of Fun
-Xbox 360 (Y) - Still having Hours of Fun

Mega CD had one killer title. Batman, and then only for the driving sections, they really showed how the super scaler chip to great effect.

Don't make me laugh. I didn't even own any of those consoles yet from borrowing them off mates I know that while 64 may of had some great games. The dreamcast was a better console. Online play, Best graphics, a kick ass MU and Rez
