A game for the PS3 or 360?

Ok, due to a lack of a multi platform board... I will put this in hear, I played Sonic the Hedgehog on the 360 a while back and despite the poor reviews, I like it so I wanted to rent it out and play it again, what version do you think will be better?

Well Im assuming they are both the same game, so whichever. Graphics wise I dont think theres a big jump either way.

Well if you get your 360 re-est back up through VGA then it will look better as it will be in HD format so you are going to think that the 360 is better than the ps3...as you only played that in ----ey def.

There are no plans yet for VGA connections for ps3 (might have something to do with HDCP??) so if your moniter has a DVI input then youre laughing.

To be honest they will be the same..it could have been a good game if it werent so fast

Yeah I am leaning towards the 360 version at the moments,I already know I like it on that console, and I should hopefully be able to play 360 in HD, so there is a graphical difference. I just read through the head to head on IGN and it said that the only differences were that the PS3 had faster loading times, but they still suck while the 360 version has a better frame rate, longer draw distence and, of course, achievements. It said that the 360 version was the best version of a crap game:D I think I will go with 360 now(Y)

Why do you make a thread if you have alreadly made your mind up? Seriously why did you get a ps3 if you miss achievements and what not - you clearly state it has achievements so!..you werent ready to live Bill Gates's empire were you? lol

DVI is the same (bar no sound) as HDMI - you have to get the sound from elsewhere. You can buy an DVI to HDMI easily - infact i have one that i was going to sell on and in theory it is a better picture than vga...but thats down to taste.

Aaaactually... I didn't start a thread when I had already made up my mind, I made a thread asking for opinions, it took a couple of opinions and a head to head comparason from IGN to make up my mind, I simply made a decision quickly. I got a PS3 becuase I thought, and still think it is an awesome console, as is the 360. When I had to have one or the other I chose the PS3, and if I had to make the same decision again, I would still pick the PS3, just there is no reason that if I have the oppotunity to have post, I should pass it up.
I think that the achievments system is good, but it didn't make a decision for me, I stated that my opinion was based on having HD for the 360, and already being familiar with it on the 360, I simply said that IGN listed achievments as an advantage in their comparison, I didn't say it as an advantage, if the game was better on PS3, I would play it on that, achievments or no. And no, I didn't have as much time with the Xbox as I would like, now old Gates has my soul again...

Well i would sell it for £12 inc postage as i paid just under £25 the other week, but you have to be so careful as your moniter might not by HDCP complaint - you you wont get a picture like i didnt through DVI on my old plasma - so its not worth the risk sending it to be honest.

Just get your 360 set up in HD - then you will see a difference. yes i agree the 360 is a good machine -just i had 4 ----e made one's so i bought a 2nd console (thats right i had 2 360's at once) so if i wanted i could easily have both consoles but i chose to sell my 360 to a good home as it wasnt loved anymore

Alright I will skip putting the PS3 on a monitor(Y), I had the sme machine for about a year, no problems at all, hopefully it will be the same story with this one. At the moment graphical differences between the two console will not sway my decsion, unless that is the only difference, if the actual gameplay, controls, features, online play ect are better on a certain console I will get it on that console. I am getting NBA 2K7, for example of the PS3 as it scored higher than the 360 version.

If its the same game, its the same game. The only differences will be the controller in your habd and the different online server style thang.

Well obviously the 360's live service wipes the floor with PSN now - but when Home arrives that will be a different matter! (you can download a trailer from the American Playstation Store - if you dont know how to set an account up PM me). To be honest that a major reason i got rid of my new 360 - i spent too much time on live and kept buying rubbish games. Since getting shot i have set up (in the process off) a website design company to run along side my photography one and started to learn HTML programming - my point was getting shot of that deterrant has put me back on course lol. I can see the advantage on having both and by no means was the sale of my 360 a financial one - just a smart move. I set myself now a maximum of 2 hrs on my ps3 a day and im sticking to it. But try to get different games for each system..like Motorstorm for ps3 or Crackdown etc on a 360. I wouldnt personally buy a game that i could get on another console or have played it. Like i bought Res FOM, Genji, Motorstorm, VF5, F1 and VT3 (which is multiplatform i know but meh)..try f1 its great and buy games you havent had for the 360.
