Well Gears of War is going to the PC but as you point out only the second one (maybe) could go to the PS3 as Microsoft Game Studios have the Distribution Rights for GoW so I do doubt you'll see it.

Epic are making games for PS3 including Unreal Tournament, however we are talking about Capcom. I personally don't see this as a big thing, I think we a have more of a level playing field this time around so Thrid Party Exclusives will be less and less as they say they need money (up to yourself to believe it) to bring out these Next Gen Games.

That makes no difference if MS owns the rights to GoW - look at Rockstars GTA series everyone thought that would never make an appearence on an MS machine. Next it was oh but GTA IV will have 6 months exclusivity on the PS3 - nope same day. My point is money talks. And as you are all aware i hate GoW anywho's.

As long as there will be continued support from Japanese developers for the ps3 then i'll be happy.

Yep i knew but i threw that into for an example of how no matter who owns a games rights they can be moved onto different consoles - even though i'd know this is MS's baby for the 360. Just like they would never ever work with Apple again..oh wait dont Apple's use Intel now. Apple FTW lol

MS dreamt up the concept - Epic created that dream. Their code/Unreal Engine is used in a host of games now - they'll sell snow to an eskimo!

My point is i dont care what games come on any system - i care about the system being a relaible machine that is going to give me many hours of enjoyment

Anyhow, I could care less what games are exlusive, as long as I get to play them on my PS3 as well. There are a load of new games coming to the PS3 that are exclusive... Heavenly Sword, God of War, Resistence, Gran Turismo, Metal Gear, Jack and Dexter, Killzone, Lair, Ratchet and Clank, Tekken, WarHawk, Kingdom Hearts, ZOE 3. Tbf, if it comes down to exclusives, and these games WILL be exclusive, then Sony can play ball. With the rising cost of developing these next gen games some titles have, and many more will, need to be multi-platform. To be honest, I would rather some games be multi platform, it gives the devs more money from software sales so they will make better games(in theory). I am not a Sony fanboy, I have owned, and enjoyed the 360 and there are some exclusives that I will miss playing for it(Banjo and ermmmm, I am sure there will be others(:/)). *waits for flaming*

OH, and whatever system it is played on, I think DMC will be awesome.

Edit: Oh, and this is just imo but this gen, I think that it will be less about the non first party exclusives and more about the first party games, you'll be seeing a lot more third party games going multi platform and it will be decided from the 1st and 2nd party titles, and all of the big three are strong on that front, should be interesting.

Edit 2: Just read that the first three DMC games combined, that is 1,2 and 3 have sold 'just' 6.5 million copies, a big loss for sure for Sony, but it could be MUCH MUCH worse. Also, I read that Microsoft have managed to wrestle the exclusivity of the Ace Combat games from Sony, with Ace Combat coming out on the 360, never liked these types of games, but apparently a lot of people do(Y)

Edit 3: I thought I would compare the DMC sales figures to another trio of games that were on Playstation, Metal gear solid, the first sold 6 mill, the second 7 mill and the 3rd 3.5 mill.

I always liked this game on the ps2, so i am very happy the new one is coming for the xbox 360, just another reason for me to not buy the ps3.
A lot of people would like to see mgs4 and final fantasy come to 360, but i never really liked those games. personally i really only wanted to get the ps3 for gta 4 and devil may cry, so its great news for me.

I found Devil May Cry 3 very hard and therefore didn't like it, so this news isn't the best but I'm still glad as it's a Microsoft v Sony war and that helps. :D
