How much could I get for my 360?

Recently I've got a little fed up of gaming, and after the recent trouble with my 360 (and other things I would rather not get into right now), I think it's time to call it quits and sell it.

Now, I will be putting it up on eBay soon, but I would like to know roughly how much money I could get for it before hand, and there's a couple of questions that I have that I think may effect the sale.

It'll be a replacement unit from MS, so bear in mind it will be in as close to mint condition as a second hand unit could ever be. Aside from a couple of barely visable marks on the HDD.

It comes with:

* Official MS VGA cable (not the component one)
* 1 wireless controller
* 1 Play and charge kit
* 1 wireless headset (Wired one not included as it broke)
* Ethernet cable
* And one game (Crackdown) which is in nearly mint condition, apart from the usual light markings you find on most played games.

Things to consider:

The box that did come with the 360 is long wrecked, thanks to my little brother. Is it possible to buy a replacement box? And more importantly, will this effect the overall sale in any way?

The Xbox is registered with my name and details. Is there a way I could tell MS to scrap those details, due to me selling the 360. Or does this really matter?

Last but certainly not least, the warrenty as almost ran out. And with the 360 being a piece of ---- system when it comes to stability, will this impact the sale greatly? Will it be worth buying an extra year or 2's extended warrenty, and will it then be valid for the person who purchases it, if it does indeed break down?

That's about everything I need to find out. Who ever can contribute any answer to this thread is doing me a huge favour, and I will not be able to thank enough. So please, if you are reading this thread, give any feedback no matter how insignificant it may seem i.e, if you was interested in buying a 360 with similar accessories etc, how much would you be willing to pay. Also, if you have any questions related to the 360 itself that I have missed out please fire away. How ever, please do not delve into the reasons behind why I'm selling it, I'd rather not answer these questions.

Depends on being lucky i guess Fleeboi - i have just recently sold mine for a very good price.(Padds bro - but its up to him to say how much he paid) and please remember that the core comes with a game and mem card now for £199.99.

I know GAME offer a trade in price of £180, and Crackdown should be around the £25 mark. But the selling for cash price will be a little less. I traded my old refurb model to Gamestation a few months back for £130 without HD. The wireless heaset and that will have to be traded in Gamestation or sold on here/anywhere ans if you were thinking of a sale/trade to GAME they dont accept accessories. Not having the box, shouldnt matter too much???

I would personally ask not much more than £220 (but that's me) as people will be therefore be swung into getting a brand new one for the guarantee. Like you, i have had 4 360 faliures and had bought a 'spare' core, which has just been sold. The Core -which never went wrong but was a mid 06 model! and please remember Watchdog hasnt helped with that peice the other week, so stick with just over the £200 mark.

As for the warranty/extended i would think it would be valid to the original owner only as that has been the case with many products i have had and sold in the past - ---- isnt it? If something was to go wrong with mine - i would say that i have lent it

I was sat, thinking the same thing last night Fleeboi.
Dunno if it was just because I was tried, but I was sat looking at this dashbaord for 20 minutes, thinking "What's the point in this? I'm wasting my time, and I could be doing something a LOT more constructive"
Just seems a lot of the fun has been drained out now, and I dunno if I can be particularly bothered - especially been really busy in my life, atm.

Well isn't it more your obsession with gaining achievements rather than the achievements themselves that are the problem?

See I think the main problem is people fell compelled to play games and sometimes play games of a certain genre because they are basically always on show and everyone can see what they have been playing and there score, etc.

However this is turning into exactly what Fleeboi didn't want, so let's get back on topic.

I personally think Lenseleven's price is about right although you've got a good group of stuff the fact is that you don't have the guarantee that people want because as you know people have had problems with it.

Nah, I definatley want to sell it asap. It's been enough of a distraction as it is, let alone when the big titles come out later this year.

I'd LOVE to sell mine but I got it back in February and it'll probably ---- up 2 weeks after someone buying it!

I'll see what happens but I ain't touched it for a week and I probably won't touch it for months, spending £40 on ---- games is retarded these days, shame it took over 30 games to realise this!!
