Saints Row 2 ??

Was just browing the games list on Monster and saw Saints Row 2, have I missed out on some news about the game ?

Will you be rolling through the village once again? Rumor has it that a sequel is being developed to this 2006 open-city action game.

NOTE: A future Saints Row release was confirmed by THQ in a 2007 financial statement, but the company has not made comment on whether that reference was to a sequel or the ensuing PlayStation 3 version for the franchise. A sequel may or may not be in the works -- bets are that more is to come for the franchise, but nothing has been put on the books yet. It has also not officially been confirmed which plaforms a second Saints Row might be released on, if it is indeed in the works. Please check back for official info.

Not to burst a bubble but I think its quite hard to continue a story like that if it is gonna continue the same story

Sure some opptimistic people say right at the end of the credits you hear a splash in the water but that could have been anything, Cant be bothered quoting the other useless excuses why the character is still alive.
