Castlevania Symphony of the Night Wed 21st March

Looks like this weeks XBLA title is Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, with an excellent price of 800ms points.

I played this to death on the original Playstation.

Anyone who hasnt played it is in for a real treat. Part action adventure with RPG overtones (collecting weapons, armoury, potions etc to aid your adventure).

In “Castlevania: Symphony of Night,” the 12th iteration of the series, you take on the role of Alucard, the half-vampire son of the blood-drinker Dracula, as you venture into his infamous father’s foreboding castle.

Castlevania: Symphony of Night will be available worldwide for 800 Microsoft Points and is rated T for Teen (Animated Blood and Violence).

* New native widescreen and high-definition support
* Earn up to 12 Achievements and 200 Gamerscore points

This should be the best XBLA title released so far. I cant wait :)

Anyone else consider this a must buy?

Best XBLA title? I'm a fan of new games not games I can play on older systems.
I need to play the first one and understand the story. I have 2 of them for the DS and started to play one but got confused and wondered what the ---- was going on. What's this whip? Who am I? What am I supposed to do?

This was never shipped in large numbers in the UK so there will be a huge amount of gamers who missed out on this bonafide classic 1st time around.

Take my word for it, this is an amazing game and well worth the 800 points.

This is the best month for XBLA so far....possibly the best it will ever be too.

Yeah I'm getting it, 'tis a great game even though I haven't played it that much, have the Saturn version from a dubious source and used to play a mates Ps1 version back in the day.

I didn't have a PS1 at the time and it's quite rare now so I'll definitely be getting it. I've emulated it on my Xbox but I feel the need to support this sort of thing, and I hate using emulators anyway.
