which version of halo 2 should i get to play online as there seems to be a few versions on ebay.

Well you would need a PAL version of Halo 2 and then if you wanted the extra map's by the Halo2 extra maps disc.

do most that play online have extra maps as i dont wanna buy just halo 2to find i need to get maps too

I couldnt tell you as i have never played it online! - not my thing. To be honest i would say yes as the map packs are free to dl now i believe. I purchased the whole Halo box set, which contained Halo/2 and the extra maps all new at my local tesco for £15 last year, maybe e-bay is cheaper, but dont forget about local stores as there is no life in the xbox now and xbox games are going very cheap.
