Hey guys, Prob something really easy, i've gone in to my settings and can see my Router on the list, so i type in my WEP/WPA key and that all works and it says 'Connected' Now i go to ' Test Xbox Live Connection ' and it says Wireless Adaptor is Connected, but my Wireless Network in 'Not Connected' and the ACT button is flashing yellow, I dont know what im doing wrong, it was working before i changed my router.
Also another thing im noticing is that under 'Edit Settings' there is no ip settings or dns settings enterd, and it says its 'Automatic' is there anyone who will be able to help me out, as i really want to get back on Xbox Live.
Thanks,
Luke.
EDIT: The light on my Adaptor is RED when normally its green i dont get it as my new router is much more powerful.

I dont know what router you have but on mine I login to the router and there is a button for attached devices, this shows anything connected to the router. My router is a Netgear DG834G. If you can post yours I might be able to get a manual online and help you further.
I just connected a wireless adapter to my 360 little over an hour ago.
Basically plug it in, Go to Network settings on the 360 blade > Edit Settings > Wireless Settings then it searches the Wireless Networks in your area, then you click the network you want, enter WEP/WAP and it should be done.
You've done that though right?
Maybe you have to configure some settings through your routers access page in IE?

I have the same router just the GT version from SKY.

Ok should be similar then. Login using the browser access. Should be http://192.168.0.1 then type in your user name and password, defaults are Admin and Password.
1st thing to check is the Wireless Settings, these should display your chosen Name (SSID) region, chanel and mode. Mines is set at Europe, 11 and g & b.
There should be a tick in the boxes for Enable Wireless Access Point and Allow Broadcast of Name.
Under Security options mine is set for WEP and 64 bit encryption. You should be able to see 4 WEP keys, take a note of them all, although your XBOX should only need the 1st one.
Transfer the WEP key to the Xbox 360 and run the network test again. If you still cant access it, click on attached devices and see if your 360 shows up.
Achilles, how much you pay for your wireless adapter. I just spent £60 in GAME. But my rents didn't have any money on them so they made me buy it.

payed the same as you back when console was released
OK I think I might get it now.
Do exactly what I say. Do not worry about what any other member says for the moment. I know it's cheeky but when more than 1 people work on a networking problem it gets confusing for the user.
The ACT LED on the testing connection part of the dash should flash. It stands for Activity. So it's good something is happening.
Go to edit your settings. Now while Automatic is great and all it's something which is in the way and we need to narrow the problem down.
Set the IP settings to manual.
IP address, set this to 192.168.1.3
Subnet mask, 255.255.255.0
Gateway, set this to your routers IP address
DNS settings, set this to your routers IP address
I did tell you to enter this stuff in on msn :p
Hopefully this should chuck you onto another step. That's all we need for now to narrow it down.
