It's good to see the pistol again, but the BR was basically the pistol of Halo 2, the magnum was ---- so I'm glad that's gone.

And for sheer usefulness in both multiplayer and single-player, the Laptop gun and Battle rifle eclipse the gravity gun.

Sadly there is a button combo which fires another 3 rounds straight after the first 3. Giving your rival 6 bullets in his head in a couple of seconds.

Well, I'm sad enough to know most of the button combos. I can doubleshot on occasion and I can BXR/BXB most of the time (haven't played Halo 2 in 2 months though, so I probably can't any more).

There have been several huge discussions on whether or not button glitches are good/bad. They are very bad for the casual gamer, but they have kept the game even more alive with the more serious Halo 2 crowd.

Personally I don't see a problem with them and you don't tend to find them in lower MM levels.

IMO it's cheating. It's having a advantage which others might not.

Oh and the lower MM levels... WHY do Halo 2 fanboys keep making new accounts? All I hear from lower level members is about how high there other account level is...

It's not cheating as it's completely accessible for EVERYONE. It's no hacking/cheating.

As for new accounts, I had several aswell when I used to play Halo 2. It's for several really, having a bigger FL, not encountering cheating all the time and on occasion possibly helping someone else to rank up.

But teh showing off of their supposedly high levels is silly.

Unless you can cite a source from the designer of the Battle Rifle, which states that he designed it to fire six bullets in one burst, you can't say that it's not cheating. It may be accessible to everyone, but not everyone knows this information; thus, the picturesque level-playing field you describe is misleading. In theory, it's accessible to everyone, but this combo is not contained in the game's manual; so, while it is accessible to "EVERYONE", it's not explicitly stated in the rules of the game.

lol, the guy in the clip could only pull it off 3 times, after I warm up, I can empty entire clips on the odd occasion of streaming BR bullets.

I love the button combos, I use them all the time. Chances are if you don't use them on someone because they can't do it themselves you'll beat them 1v1 anyway, as you have a much better BR etc. So I see no harm in it. Besides, anyone who ever wants to learn these glitches and the timing, I take into custom games and show them.
