In the UK starting Friday the 16th of Feb, Film4 is presenting a season of films starring the legend that is Mr Robert DeNiro.

First up is the awesome Taxi Driver..if anyone would like to know how Robert got his AAA status then check this film out!

De Niro said he would never do anything tantamount to the work he had to do for 'Raging Bull'. He's been trying to break into the comedy scene for years, now, with mixed results. He's not a strong comedic actor, and only performs well when paired with strong comedic actors (for example: Billy Crystal, Ben Stiller). In other words, he's been trying to cut-out an easier way to earn money.

It's ironic that he starred in a Scorsese picture titled 'The King of Comedy', where he plays as Rupert Pupkin, who is "obsessed with becoming a comedy great".

Awsome,i cant wait to see the Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinlke,oh and that really scary film Godsend "that scared the crap outta me" but the oscar winning turn in frankenstein has gotta be one of the best things hes done!! (apart from 15minutes and shark tale)

Legend, grade a legend. freeview owners should be paying to watch him in great films like taxi driver. lol, allways makes me laff tho seeing harvey keitel as a muscely pimp, hehe
