my concerns

the medic system - have they thrown the realistic gameplay we love out the window in favor of the you get shot you get picked up with no punishment systerm they will forever be ----ing scum in my eyes for doing soo.

The bugs - the reason i stopped playing GRAW 1 was the bugs if you played on a certain map with too many people you lost like 8 people once in the game it was ----ing shocking.

the chapter 2 problem - it was a shocking price it basicly divided the whole GRAW comunity because you couldnt get in to a chapter 2 persons game. they did this the wrong way, they should of forced everyone to download the new skins and weapons so people could join in on chapter 2 games whilst on old maps.

will their be a cover system in multiplayer??????

oh yeah the grenade launcher ----ing hell thats going to get abused big style.

You didn't have to play the game in ranked to get the ones before, so I'm hopeful on that front.

Although, ranked matches in GRAW actually work, unlike in Vegas, so I'll probably be playing them loads anyway, and therefore won't have a problem with there being achievements based around ranked play.

Ill have to post em tomorrow since there on my phone and Im not at home. From glancing I didnt see any leaderboard ones, Its mostly story and co-op then so many kills with a sniper etc in a room with 5 unique gamertags blah blah.

Theres an achievement for killing a haggis toting scotsman aswell 10,000 GS.

The levels were much better than GRAW, bigger, already found the sniper heaven level, the Dam. Rocky Cove v2 is much bigger with effectivly 3 zones to fight, 1 sniping area. Theres a level that heavily reminded me of Battlefield, a downed 747 or something, although it looks a lot freaking better. One of the maps is a flooded village/town. New style wharf. Every level has night versions, and speaking of night the night has completly changed for the better, youl get a pic tomorrow, no more dodgy white blurs.

Old town style sorta, it looks almost like its in south africa, shanty town-ish. Theres a trainyard one aswell.

All everyone did on the dam level was snipe, LOADS of different places to snipe from, 3 different levels to be on, then of course the passage under the road to sneak up on em.

they should oraganize some sort of ranking system like rsv, like when you reach elite you unlock the grenade launcher

Yeah the grenade launcher was abused yesterday, its an easy kill gun. Theres no cover in multiplayer at all. The medic system is good, its not like every time you get shot you can be medic'd only sometimes, even then it takes time to heal someone, not easy if they're in the open. You can chosse to die aswell.
The new feature to see what everone else sees by holding RB is awesome, you hold RB and whatever is on your crosscom, be it the drones view, player 2's view etc it will come up full screen, nice stuff.

Nah, a few vids here and there, one guy had a helmet cam on to capture the action during the real life GRAW shizzle. The day before they had all the Press and Ubisoft peeps.

hold on i take you only get downed if you get hit in shoulder or the leg or arm or somthing like that. because a fatal shots a fatal shot, head heart stomach (might not be fatal but your not getting up from it!!!)

I hope you have told people that when you go missing playing this for days on end when it come's out not to panic!

That seems a good idea the tracking of multiplayer games........and there's no leaderboard achievements, just bragging rights this time around, meaning for the likes of you (and others on here) that the hours you will put in will be rewarded in some way

Yeah, on a small map it wont be tooooo bad, got mine on embassy, which is quite big but everyone was going down this one area, threw a nade, shot some mo'fo's, ya na dawg.

People must be messing about with the host settings if there's spawn camping, because they've designed it so that the default settings mean there can't be. There must be options to turn the spawners' temporary invincibility off, which is stupid. :(

Meh, doesn't affect me anyway, because I'm not going to touch Sharpshooter. None of you should, either. There's no spawn camping on LMS, Siege or Blind Siege, and those are the game-types that proper GRAW players play. :D

Yeah, there's a lot of that in Vegas I find, but it can't be helped sometimes, you juse end up pushing the enemy back and back and back and eventually you keep killing them there, or get killed yourself.

The AI in the campaign annoyed me it was to slow. Its obviously going to be similar so I'm not going to waste my time downloading the demo. :)

Normally Rilu (as you may know?) a lot of the new releases are released in Europe the same time as the US (if not before!) i have some great lads on my FL from Belgium who get games early as their stores release them when they want to...it's only here in the UK that they stick to dates 99% of the time...what's it like in Norway?

Best bet is to ring around the independant stores..most release them when they like aswell

Yeah it annoys me when there is an specfic date for PAL but other countries/places just release when fit. I shouldnt complain though as i always get my games at least a day early. Though i know this is a game everyone wants to play so maybe they should just release it!

In fairness though we arent far behind them with the dates now...sometimes before most times 3 days to a week and a bit.

I remember having to wait upto 6 months for certain gmes from the date that US and Jap got theirs, that's one huge plus point going for MS and the 360!

I was going to add that..but i would have been accussed as being a sony fanboy and ramming it down peep's throats!...yep it's a fanstastic idea and games like VF5 which retail in UK at £50 can be bought month(s) before and at around £30!

I LOVE THIS GAME!

Tob3z, the healing can be useful or not depending on the game type you're playing. If you're playing Last Man Standing (like me, w00t!), then healing people has advantages because it means you don't lose the person. However, in Sharpshooter, it's a bit pointless, seeing as if you let yourself die you're going to come back anyway.

I like it. It's not an incredible feature, but it's quite good.

Some of the maps in this game are ----ing incredible. Crash Site, Lagoon, Monument Hill, ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG! Pretty much everyone from the old game has come back on today as well. Met some people I've not spoken to since the Summer. Seems like everyone has the game back.

Locopar, Mistamurda is back, minus the MoD. Still hosting 16-man rooms, though. :D

Tob3z, the healing can be useful or not depending on the game type you're playing. If you're playing Last Man Standing (like me, w00t!), then healing people has advantages because it means you don't lose the person. However, in Sharpshooter, it's a bit pointless, seeing as if you let yourself die you're going to come back anyway. :D

I think healing should give a 1 point or 2 so it's worth to stay in the open and save the poor fella.

Oh man, this has been a beautiful day.

Ranked matches are SOOOOOO much better. Been playing with all my old GRAW buddies all day, and in about 50 or so matches, we've maybe lagged out 2 or 3 times. You don't even have to mute up and wait 15 seconds. :cool: :cool: :cool: Just as long as you know what your server limitation is (and for most of the guys I play with it's the full 16 :D), you'll be fine.

The ranking system works as well, unlike in Vegas. I'm now ahead of Phat in the rankings (haha 329th 4tw, w00t!), and up to a rank 3 already. The TrueSkill system of random teams in ranked games actually does appear to have helped, and thankfully, after one ranked game, you can return to the lobby and play again.

The maps are on the whole fantastic. Lagoon, Crash Site and Fort are just so incredibly awesome.

Visually, I'd say it's the best game on the 360. Yes, better than Gears. And no, I'm not joking. Looks absolutely amazing.

Sadly, though, I've got to go to bed now. More GRAW tomorrow, though. w00000t!

AJ is right this looks better than GoW, on the 2nd chapter on SP first it's day light then the night comes I have to use my googles then the day starts to come again. So that using the googles isnt good anymore but still dark.

Am I the only one that hates the HUD? all those useles lines and the fact the enemy is displayed in a red shape, surely this makes the game too easy, no?

I watched the video review on IGN and just as I said many months ago this will be GRAW 1.5 and guess what, he agreed, maybe it's just me but the game is getting dumbed down, aka controlling your other guys and letting this drone scan the area to reveal the enemy locations and now this medic ----, do you ever die? no wonder the SP campaign is only 8 hours long.

We played some Blind Siege after you left, but pretty much everyone agreed it's not as good as LMS.

See why I love this game now? Nights like that, with 16-man rooms going for hours on end = absolutely ----ing brilliant.

Yeah, Rilu, the guys you want to look for hosting are either Buzz, Pablo or Mistamurda. All run quality 16 man rooms. :cool:

I've not even touched single-player in this yet, and I doubt I will for a long, long time. The one reason the original GRAW annoyed people was because of all the server problems, lagging out in ranked matches, etc. They're pretty much all gone. If you know how many people you can hold, you're set for hours. Oh man, it's sooo good.

Well i got this game yesterday and the Single Player i find has been much improved i like the fact now you can look at the view of your squad, the Grahics are much sharper than GRAW1 the only dissapointing thing i found on the whole game on both modes is that you cannont put your pack against a wall on the multiplayer the level designs are really good and huge, music goes really well with the single player i give it 9/10

oh and how do i get the free headgear could not find it anywhere?

I'm actually starting to play Blind Siege now, and really liking it too. LMS is still 4tw, but Blind Siege is more tactical, so we can maybe start playing that properly as well.

I'm far too kind when hosting rooms. You guys think I'm being harsh, but in all honesty, a 5 letting in a bunch of 2s is just suicidal if you want a decent rank. :D I'm not going to host much more, though, because it's too much effort.

My rank has dropped from 94 on Thursday night to 675 two days later! I was actually in the 700s earlier on tonight, but as I said I hit up some Blind Siege and won more than I lost.

Btw, the ranks are supposed to be getting reset for that ranking competition thing that Microsoft are doing. Not sure if these ones will return or whatever, but I think it's a bit stupid to be resetting ranks just a couple of weeks after the game has come out.

You know that your friends could easily have turned off the option to have Nowhere in their rooms when they were hosting, allowing you to get in?

You just have to go to Player Options in the character creation bit (y'know, where you give your guy headgear and stuff), and you can do it there. I've done it, because I don't really care about Nowhere now, as good a map as it is.


Also, are you guys using GameBattles or PanicZoom for clan matches?

Yep i knew about turning the content off, but i'm missing out on what...? 80% of GRAW2's rooms, it won't even allow me into co-op rooms, plus i don't want to be a pain asking them to go create a room with content turned off, then thinking of the clan matchs, asking the other team to turn it off if they're hosting? Just a month's trial. I've got mine because I want a great rank as Crumplefish21, which means I can't play with a lot of my in-game friends when their ranks aren't as good as mine. :)

Yeah, 8/9 was easy to maintain in the later stages of GRAW, because the majority of the LMS crew were 8s. A few 7s, but they didn't affect you too much. Right now, if I go into a room with my 7 or a high 6, and there are 4s playing, you can win ten matches and lose one, and leave at the same rank you came into the room at.

Once there are more general high ranks playing, it'll be better.

You're not the only one, matey. There are a couple of people I've spoken to in the game who have been having the same problem. A fair number of hosts on LMS have disabled Nowhere now.

I'll give you a shout when I'm hosting, because I've got Nowhere turned off as well. I don't need to play it; played it enough in the first game.

Great game but Hard tog et into ranked macths because apparently if your low rank you get booted instantly or they are some clan. Which there is a bug if you play a ranked macth then rank up and then you play a player macth you be demoted all teh way to rank one. So I just stick with player macths alot more fun. Rank means nothing at alllllllll!!!!!!

Haha, that glitch is going to cause a lot of problems. After you play a Player Match, you'll be reset to a Rank 1 for 1 match, then return to what you're supposed to be. You just tell hosts this and they won't boot you out. Pretty much everyone knows it exists.

Rank means a hell of a lot more in GRAW than it does in most other games, because the system actually works.

I just got GRAW2 tonight. Not played it yet, and never played the first one, but I heard its a pretty good game.

Maybe get a game with you's if anyone is up for it at some point!

I am probably going to upset people with my next sentence. I hate this game. well let me try again, i hate MY copy of this game, every time i play it, it ----s up, the game itself is good/ish but i really hate the fact that whilst its in, my 360 cries like a little girl, so i am forced to remove it and throw it far away as possible as to make my 360 happy again. sometimes it doesnt even load my character so its just a gun walking round, im gonna take it back today and get a credit note or something because i dont really want it to do the same thing again.

We should get a big get-together at some point. Usually when I'm online right now I'll be playing either ranked or with my clan, but if we can arrange something beforehand I'd be happy to play some games with you guys as well.

I know how to do that stupid "avoid detection" ---- now, Raised, Headshot and Tomshi.

What you've got to do is once one guy has planted the demo charge round at the side, someone else has to be ready to quickly jump onto the boat and plant the tracking device whilst the guards are distracted by the other explosion.

Then you've just got to get off the boat, proceed to kill everyone on the other side of the Locks, and head across the open area (if you go across the boats, you'll fail).

Silenced weapons aren't 100% necessary. Maybe only for the guy who is actually going on to the boat to plant the tracker.

Oh yeah, I did that one after a few fails.
Just plant the charge, then head backward straight afterwards the way you came, and go to the far right of the map, and proceed up that side.
Locks was a prety easy one I thought. (Y)

I got this yesterday and gave it a spin this morning and to be honest I'm not overly excited about it. Granted I've only did a bit of the training but does it get better or is Multiplayer the best part of it?

As for the time being it seems the same kind of crap as the first one, I think I'm being a bit premature but come on they could of at least raised the bar a bit.

Single-player is decent, but yeah, it's pretty much the same as the original. Except this time some of it is on US soil!!!11!!!!1 Yeah, with El Paso, Texas being pretty much the same as any of the Mexican sceneries anyway.

Multiplayer is far better anyway. The co-op is great fun, and now that we've got some more people with the game we should be able to have some get-together-esque fun. :party: It'll be interesting to see how many guys you can hold in your rooms as well, D, because you had a great connection for Vegas. :cool:

It is a bit GRAW 1.5, which isnt necessarily a bad thing. I dont really play it much at all now, but if there are some get togethers going, ill give it a bash.

Multiplayer is good, but it is very similar to the original, as is the single player game. Still worth playing through a couple of times, and the co-op missions are good fun on the MP

those maps are all too new.......desert gulch....jeez thats only a year old , not what i call throwback..

Now if they redid Embassy or some of the real classics from both the original GR and GR:IT is be interested.

As it is , they are all a bit too recent to pay for them all again.
