Possible release date set for Indiana Jones 4?

US, February 6, 2007 - It may have taken almost two decades to get the fourth Indiana Jones film going, but now that Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, and Harrison Ford have all agreed on a script, it looks like the project is happening pretty quickly. And the release of the film is coming real soon too, apparently -- like, in a year.

Box Office Mojo is reporting that Paramount has set May 22, 2008 as the release for what the site is calling the Fourth Installment of the Indiana Jones Adventures. (One hopes that Paramount comes up with a better name than that in the 15 months leading up to opening day.)

That date, if it's correct -- and there's no direct information from Paramount to confirm it yet -- would stick with the Memorial Day weekend release that one would expect from a picture of this magnitude. That method has been used in the past for previous Indy films, Star Wars pictures, and plenty of other major franchise openings.

Elsewhere in the May 2008 release schedule are Speed Racer, Iron Man, and The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.

This is one film I really, really can't wait for. Apparently Sean Connery is back on board as well.

I just know that the sword fight in 1 or 2 where the guy does thiw whole sword moving thing and Indy shoots him was meant to be a lot longer and actually be a proper fight, but the stuntman playing the swordguy was really ill.

They were all great...fantastic family movies...it will be great theres no question about it in my mind. Theres a game in development isnt there? I wonder if that gets pushed back to incorporate the film?

thats the weird thing is order of been made

1) raiders of the lost ark
2) temple of doom
3) last crusade

the order they should be is

1)temple of doom
2) raiders of lost ark
3) last crusade

temple of doom is a prequel to raiders and last crusade is a sequel, thats if you goo off the books

they are all too old now and it wont be as good in my opinion. The last crusade has a brilliant chemistry with INdy and his dad, at least that should be back in it again.
