Why are Microsoft not promoting this more heavily? It's pretty cool..

Hell, I can do everything but the live/recorded TV with just XP. Actually.. I can watch live TV on my TV without a 360 at all.

Yeah,I like the fact that I can easily watch my recorded TV shows on my TV, that's the best and really only real thing it can do.

I have Windows XP Media Center Edition and Windows Vista Home Premium and I can state that the Vista version is much better overall. Also worth noting that the media center stuff on Vista is having a major update later in the year to add many more features!

As cool as this looks, I wont be upgrading to Vista until Service Pack 1 is released.

Installed Vista last night alongside my current installation of XP.
Using the 360 as a Media Centre Extender is really excellent.
Content is a bit thin at the moment, but the potential is phenomenal.
With the European launch of the PS3 just round the corner, I'd be shouting this interconnectivity from the rooftops if I was M$.

I'm impressed anyway, never had a Media Centre edition of Windows before, so this seems pretty cool to me

think I will stick to Media Centre XP until Vista comes down in price to the realms of sanity...oh, and I can afford to upgrade my PC so that it will run something other than the basic incarnation....which doesnt have any media sharing features :(

Ill probably upgrade to vista fairly soon, or even better buy a new pc or laptop as i kinda get bored of the same machine after a while :).
