no he cant, its an 18. You can wathc the Fugitive now though!
I do believe he can watch any 18 legally anyway. The certificate is a guidline and the age you have to be to buy it.
Also I was watching something on BBC 3 last night about kid ---- addicts and the narrator said you can view ---- legally at any age. It's just buying it which isn't.

well im looking at my dvd now and it says 15

Makes sense eh? you can view ---- but not buy it, that's like telling people they can smoke at 8 but can't buy fags or you can drive at 12 but can't buy a car until you are 18.
I still don't know why they have put an age limit on ----, it's just ----, you won't be interested in this stuff until you are around 13-14 and by that time you would've already known about it, seen it and these days done it, so why I can't just walk into a shop and buy a porno I will never know, I get the impression you have to be 21, am I right?
Still, go kill yourself and others around you at 16 with fags but don't look at fanny, it's bad for you!! SERIOUSLY!! (M)

You can smoke at any age as well. You just need to be 16 to buy them.
You can buy a car at any age. 21 to rent a car
Technically you can drive a car at any age. As long as you own some private land.
Anyway lol, back on topic.
Happy Birthday... (goes off to check) Bigcon100.

Not really.
It would make sense to make certain short movies and clips viewable by them.
Then, they can see how it is done, I know a lot of people panic about it, and it been explained in schools/colleges is by far the best way, but they teach it to lightly, imo.

I don't like it when threads are merged.
It makes your post look retarded, and complicates the whole thing.

I agree, although it makes sense at the time to do it. However it's defiantly more hassle if theres lots of posts in it...Thats what I found after trying to take the Off-Topic stuff out of the Gamerscore Leaderboard.
The main problem is that you can't organise them either which would be handy but I agree sometimes it's just better to Close it and say Here's the Thread to discuss it. Or even just tell them to take it to another thread.

Here's a radical idea: do nothing.
Over-zealous moderators have a tendency to create work for themselves, rather than run the forum how it should be.

I agree to a certain extent but like this now, it's seem ridiculous that this thread has turned into whether or not Mods are doing the right thing. So when someone wants to actually comment on the thread itself it seems stupid then to add a comment as the original topic has been overtaken by something else.
Take this one, someones coming in to say some witty Happy Birthday comment or ask what the person has got but the topic has gone way off to discussing Moderators and obviously my first instinct is to Move the Posts into a more appropriate Thread or Create one for it.
However I often prefer a second opinion so if you think you can help me out and sometimes think I'm making a wrong decision don't be scared to say (I'm sure you won't be :p) Either Send me a PM or Add me to MSN and you can tell me that way, As I'd prefer but whatever makes it better I don't mind.
btw Why was I entered into some comic strip? I never said anything against you so take that into consideration in the future.

Why didnt you PM me as it was me that merged the thread! if you felt that i/we werent doing our tasks correctly...Why the thread was current and active and on the same subject. Members posted in both threads, some posted in both, some posted in only one, therefore in doing this it allowed all to have a say/greeting for BigCon...if that's wrong then what are you doing sitting there apply to become a mod on this site or anyother...im sure you will be well liked.
The picture on both sides was wrong - yet funny in a way yet out of order. Do you honestly believe that the moderators on here are too strict, power hungry what ever you (or anyone else for that matter) think? Really? This site even before i became a mod and the rule changes was a site ran by great moderators that got on with 99.9% of the members.
As for a site that is for entertainment and open to all ages i believe we are very relaxed and are friendly...No?

Right, Ladies and Gentlemen.
I quite like coming onto a forum where there are no arguments, spam posts and no one argues or overly discusses decisions. Didn't we have a Mod thread the other day? Go and dig that up again.
Otherwise, back on topic, HAPPY BIRTHDAY again, Bigcon.
Hope you've had a good one. :)

This forum is relatively good and censorship is not a common occurrence. And in comparison to how it was (when the Staff had moderator powers), it's great. Perhaps that was before you time, but certainly not before mine. I stated in my post that you're creating more problems and solving none, by this merge and delete frenzy. It wasn't a direct reference to this thread, but more a blanket statement referring to the behaviour of a few moderators. Lens, a moderator doesn't have to be well-liked; posters respect a moderator who sets rules which he enforces without pardon for 'e-friends'. A moderator has done a good job, when no one notices he's ruling the forum. You don't need to close-topics or make yourself seem big.
The photochop is a joke: Padds threw a picture my way with a loaded term, and I returned the compliment. It had no malicious intent.

Totally agree and im not having a go directly at you...it's just when people criticize me/whoever for doing a moderator's job of keeping the threads/site tidy and thread infomation correct then that is wrong...not saying you did it. I applied and became a mod not to go around a change things/delete things, ban members etc etc but to keep this great community of members ticking. Creating, deleting, the merging, moving of threads is part of that.
As for both pictures they were funny..but perhaps both of you knew where it would go and im not trying to cause anything by staying in the middle
To all please remember Moderator's are members!
Now can we all draw a line under this please...thanks

It's quite healthy to criticize moderators, and if a couple of people didn't openly criticize a few staff members for abuse of their moderator panel, then this forum wouldn't be relatively censorship-free forum that we all love, today. So, to state that criticism of a moderator's behaviour is wrong is not healthy for any forum. History has proved that (note the removal of the TeamMonster forum awhile back). Personally, moderators should have specific forums to moderate, rather than have six or so moderators govern the whole forum.
Deletion should only be reserved for most severe cases of a violation of the site's TOS. Threads should be moved to their appropriate forum. Closing threads shouldn't be done, and it's as simple as that: sweeping dust under the rug won't make it disappear. And merging threads is up to the common-sense of the individual as to what he or she feels appropriate. That's about it; it's not hard.

I agree although it's the way in which you decide to criticise moderator's, making comments in non-apporpraite thread, like this one, it makes the forum appear disorganised and very all over the place.
I don't mind suggestions as I've said before just hit me up on MSN or if it's a general comment create a thread or if people prefer I can create one, where people might like to see improvements particularly towards Moderators.
Kubrick's first post was flame bait, I usualy delete these posts to save a dozen replies that are off-topic, yet you mods just kept replying to him, so YOU are taking this off-topic as much as him.
Why couldn't you just quote his post, delete it from here, send him a PM with his initial post and your reply? you ain't really supposed to get into debates about mods in a thread about a birthday NOR are you supposed to post immature images directed at other members.
At the end of the day mods/admins or whatever will constantly get ---- for doing their "job", I used to put up with huge amounts of ---- everyday for helping people so you only have two options;
Stop moderating
Get used to it
If you feel you need to reply everytime someone says something about a mod then this forum will be in a ----ing state, because after Kubrick made one post you had about 3 mods replying to it over and over making the situation even worse, you don't argue in public you take it private.
Being an admin/mod isn't that hard btw, I ran an entire league on my own and you lot are having trouble with a forum that isn't even entirely popular, how would you cope on a bigger scale?
I ain't having a go at the mods but you need to learn how to handle ---- like this as it just makes you look worse when you need to reply in teams to a single post.

You started the ---- with images, and I returned the favour. You called me a troll, and I inferred that you were a Nazi-mod. If you can't take it, you shouldn't dish it out. Simple, no?

I plan to make a thread where in which people can contribute to the actions of Moderators, and give honest constructive feedback.
However I do feel that some members can forget that we were members before, we play the same games, we contribute to the get-togethers. The point that Padds is making is that you are using his image to mock him yet he can't do the same as you are hiding behind your computer.
I must remind you that just because to members fall out, it's not necessarily because they are Mods. Surely to be a Nazi-Mod he would of been deleting your comments, giving warnings/infractions, giving out bans or temp bans. Sometimes Members have failing outs and sometimes these two people either happen to be Staff/Mods or Admin but you shouldn't read too much into that.
We come here to post about stuff we enjoy and help out at the same time. I don't think any of the Mods or Admin wish to be a Sitting Duck for your misdirected anger.
For that reason and considering Bigcon's birthday is over, although we never did find out what he got :'( I'm closing this as you will feel obliged to comment. Again any problems hit me up on a Instant Messenger or PM me.
