Bought this today just want to know what you think of it as a game in general and achievements. I'm not to sure the achievements take time :unsure:

Absolutely amazing game. Great game area, good mission, nice (cheesy) storyline) and loads of hidden packages to find. I love hidden packages.

As a friend of mine said when he got the game: "Don't go on holiday, buy Just Cause!

Yeah, I like it now just needed to get the hang of how to play the game. Achievements take time though. It was either this or Test Drive Unlimited did I choose right?

All the poiints I got so far on it were a bit more than 1 weekend. I don't call that time, especially as I wasn't aiming for them.

just cause is a really underrated game. It looks awesome, i started playing it again when i got my HDTV and its even better. The controls are easy to handle, but some of the harder moves you will pull off after more time at it. Once you get all the agency vehicles unlocked its becomes much easier to get around.

The acheivements are good too i think. Some are easy like kill 500 guys or the wanted level ones. And if at any point you fell you need one just go do a collect mission. Some are very tough though. The last story mission is very hard and i still havent got 1000 pts, but ive got a respectable 905. One race is too hard for me, and ive forgotten which on the map it is. And some of the liberation missions are really tough, and there's so many of them.

All in all a great game and one that i probably will still throw in the xbox to try to do more of the liberation missions, and eventually ill get the whole island acheivement.

Apparently you dont play hard games, but you could show most people here by getting to top of the leaderboard on this one.

personally i would of chose test drive as i didnt like the demo, only bit i liked was freefalling onto a car :P

Yeah, I've started playing more challenging games now like Just Cause and Condemned which I rented ages ago bought it this time to finish the rest of the achievements both great games

i love it, you can jump from a plane's cockpit, onto the wing, jump off, open your parachute, grapple ontot another vehicle (like a helicopter, boat or car), then reel yourself in and steal it. Awesome. The guy is a crazy stunt master.

good on you :) test drive isnt challenging, its fun and time consuming to get all 1000, i bow down to people with 1000 points on that game, and i can tell some one is going to show they have 1000 :( . my mates got just cause so i mite just borrow it off of him for a bit to see waht the actual game is like as some demos dont do the game any justice.

tru obviously wants to be this man just to jump around on planes :)

how do you actually do car stunts? I've got the achievement for jumping from car to car 20 times but what do you do for the 20 stunt one?

Depending on how far you are you will have a prototype cgrappler. Stand behind a moving car, take out the grappler, shoot and then press the R trigger and up/down on the left thumbstick to pull yourself on top of the car.

Do the same for the helicopters and boats.

I love the parachuting. Great stuff.

Brilliant game but I would say that TD:U would have the edge cause of the online aspect. (Saying that though, I bought JC over TD:U)

Anyhoo, achievements are simple to get and you should be able to get 5-600 without breaking sweat. The story is fun while it lasts and the difficulty level does increase towards the end of the missions. Getting all 1000 points is my aim for the weekend but it is time consuming and does get boring flying around all the collect missions and liberating villages as it's all pretty much the same over and over.

Still, an enjoyable game and well worth the £25. :)

keep it varied, do a Rioja takeover, fly the chopper to a liberation, then do a side mission. Rinse then repeat. All i need now is 20 or so guerilla towns. Some are really hard.

I completed 7 story missions I see theres a achievement for completing story mission 7 why didn't i get the achievement???? :s

well basically do the mission and kill 500 people (easy) and have the police after you for 5 min you got around 300gp if i remember rightly

its alright now I got the mission 7 achievement it appears that you have to do mission number 7 not just a random 7 missions

The mission achievements are based on the main story missions and are awarded 1 mission after the number says. So mission 7 is after mission 8, mission 14 after 15.

I'm on that mission but don't understand the guide it seems almost impossible its only a few seconds then it says "mission failed" HELP :@ its doing my head in

How far did you get in the mission? Where does it say mission failed?

when you blow up the door to get in the prison (you then have to rescue someone a few seconds later mission failed) but i think i worked it out not sure help me anyway :D

Well, there are many different ways into the prison. No one forces you to go through the door.

Try parachuting/flying in maybe. As far as I remember, you need to go accross the courtyard, up the stairs and save a woman in a cell (cutscene). Just try flying in. You should have the Gyrocopter by now, just request a heavy drop or parachute in.

Don't bother killing anyone, just run up.

Yeah, that sometimes happens to me in that city.

I never had it, I went in through the door, killed everyone, went upstairs and passed the mission.

once you get to a certain range of the mission, you cant go back or it fails the mission, like in the liberation missions.

Just completed the story really short but i loved every moment. Do you think there will be a Just Cause 2? another thing where is the best place to jump for the base jump 1,000 meters achievement?
