Konami of America has announced today that they will be releasing 'Earth Shattering' News regarding their company and new titles they will be releasing on all platforms in 2007.
''Check back to this space on Monday for several major announcements on new games from Konami! From new franchises to returning favorites, you won't want to miss the earth-shaking news. You heard it here first! ''
So, what is all this big news about? Many believe that Zone of Enders will be releasing on the PlayStation 3, and many Solid Snake fans hope that Hideo will announce Metal Gear Solid 4: The Patriots on the Xbox 360 for release in '07, What do you think the 'Earth Shattering' news could be? Let us know via the comments box below.

I suppose more publicity, if you tell people to prepare for big news then you will get more rapid attention when they finally announce it. I think this will be more of a "brining back the classic" story rather than some switch of a PS Game over to the rival platform.
I suppose if it is that, PS Games to Xbox 360, it might be for Sony to get the signing some more exclusives otherwise it's looking that things are going down hill.
Anyways is this announcement for Xbox 360 Owners or just Konami themselves, if so the depth could be endless, pushing their press attention huge.

Did they specifically release this to 360 sites? My concern is that this is just a new, multi-platform game, or even worse another PS3 exclusive.
If MGS4 goes to the 360, I'll ---- my pants.

The only thing I can think of that Konami would introduce as "earth shattering" is MGS4.
So it's either that, or something completely new.
AJ- Haha, Swifty in the other NFL thread. AJ check that out.
Anyways, yeah. MGS4 to Xbox 360 IS earth shattering. Anything else is overhyping.

Hmmm....i would love to see MGS 4 on the 360 - though i didnt like no3 as much, so i kinda lost interest in series from then.
Ahywho's...i would also like to hear if a ZOE title was coming to either console..great game is that...Lost Planet Mission 11 was very similar style to ZOE if anyone doesnt know what its like.
Konami are a great company and have never really put all of their eggs into one machine...the costs of games to be made now are huge so multiplatform ensures more sales and therefore more cash, which is a must now for companies as we all know, unless they are just greedy like EA

Never played a MGS game but have always wanted to, bringing it to the 360 would be a nice addition. If the news isn't about MGS then I reckon the news will be about a new game in development.
But anyway it's Monday today, any news?

Well, Konami of America released the news of the news. Surely Konami of Japan would release news pertaining to Metal Gear Solid 4 (or more specifically in the case of MGS, Hideo), Silent Hill or Zone of the Enders?

"The publisher has a number of Wii-exclusive titles in development including Dewy's Adventure from Elebits producer Shingo Mukaitgoe, and the latest in its dancing franchise, Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party.
Konami will also publish a number of Hudson Wii properties in North America - Wing Island and Kororinpa: Marble Mania - both due in the spring, along with Hudson's DS titles Honeycomb Beat and Time Ace.
The publisher continues to support Sony's PSP with Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles on the way, as well as a Coded Arms sequel, Coded Arms Contagion, and Brooklyn High Senior Year.
Other titles due from Konami include Hellboy for PS3, Xbox 360 and PSP, and Dance Dance Revolution Universe for Xbox 360.
DS titles Death Jr. and the Science Fair of Doom, GoPets and Konami Classic Series: Arcade Hits are also due for release in 2007."
(edit: That was released 3 days ago.) DDR. That's what the 360 gets. Woo.

Surely that's not the Earth Shattering news... because I knew that DDR was coming to the 360 yesterday... when IGN told me.

I certainly hope there's something they purposefully didn't announce then only to announce 2 days later, but.. I'm still pessimistic. I have a feeling there's just a miscommunication, and nothing new is coming.
Here's what they've released so far today:
"Konami Announces New Castlevania, DDR Games!
Last week Konami announced new games in its Castlevania and DDR series, bringing these renowned franchises to new platforms with all-new gameplay twists. Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles for the PSP® system delivers the classic game Castlevania: Rondo of Blood in 3D for the first time, with timeless side scrolling gameplay and incredible animations. DDR Hottest Party brings nonstop dance action to the Wii™, letting players get their whole body into the groove as they dance with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. It's going to be an incredible 2007, so stay tuned to these pages for the latest from Konami!"

Well, to correct the news writer, Luke, who posted this news. Here's the quote:
Major Konami Announcements on Monday!
Check back to this space on Monday for several major announcements on new games from Konami! From new franchises to returning favorites, you won't want to miss the earth-shaking news. You heard it here first!

It may be slight, but there is a difference between "earth-shaking", which is contained in the Konami news bit, and "earth-shattering", which is contained in the 360monster news bit. I wonder where Luke got "earth-shattering" from? Unless, the error was on-part of another news writer, whom Luke swiped it off.

It's not really Konami's fault is it? I mean, it's pretty obvious, now, that the word 'earth-shaking' would relate to a game, which utilises a dance mat.
