Its about time they done something with the Italian Ultras. They have gotten away with the violence for far too long. Its just a shame that it has taken two murders to bring the governing body into suspending the leagues.

These people are not football fans, they are scum and have no place in the game.

Shame for all the decent supporters, as well as the players and teams who are unjustly affected by a postponement of Italian football.

They're absolutely mental down in Sicily, and with there being Palermo, Messina and Catania all back in the same division again, there was always going to be problems. They could have had 10 times more police there and there still would have been riots and fighting. Shocking.

And the Itailan FA/Coni are asking the Brits on how they do such a good job:|

But yeah as said above, it's shocking to think they do this thing quite reg(N)

Bunch of scenes with Catania fans rioting afterwards.

Reason being the Palermo fans were kept in the stadium for 2-3 hours after the match to separate them, but the Catania fans then started attacking the police who were trying to disperse them to stop them waiting for the Palermo fans.

Oh dear the beautiful game has 1 gotten ugly again, I find it quite shocking that this can happen. This example shows that supporting a team strongly is a bad thing, all this club rivalries, firms, green street movies and stuff is all bad. One reason why I prefer the extreme sports industry much more, if a skater pulls a well good trick the competitors and fans applaud, instead of having riots.

Green Street, lolz. Don't watch that muck - it's as unrealistic as you'll find.
But yeah, they kept the Palermo founds outside the groud until the 2nd half so I heard, which got them going a bit.
Just ype in 'Catania - Palermo' on YouTube. Loads of vids.

That's what I thought but it's hooked the next generation into making it a reality. Peterbrough played Lincoln the other day and I hate people my age watching green street to psych them up into wanting to have a "firm war". It's pathetic.

Yeah, I know what you mean.
There's a load from College who travel up and down the country following York City, just to find some trouble.
Yet, as soon as there's any sign from trouble, they all bottle it.
It's soooo funny.
After most York home games, there's fighting in the City centre, and they all just bottle it, along with all the other 'youfs'.
I just laugh at them all.
York City Nomads ftw!

Heh we have those too but I mean there still are some that would be up for the fight, they do their boxing, work out they will go have a fight. Although it's only a small minority at the moment I reckon the number will expand into eventually there being no one bottling it.

York City's average attendance normally consits of 75% under 18's.
That's how bad it is here.
