View Full Version : What is your mood today?
Thought I would make a thread in excitement, because guess what, THE DOG IS AWAY!!
I am very happy, to cut a long story short; my ----- sister got a dog and it was demented, pissed everywhere and got on everyones ----, everytime I seen the thing I wnated to give it a battering but I like dogs so didn't, but it went for my wee brother today and after about 2 months of constant bickering the "parents" listened and got rid of the -------, BURN!
Sounds harsh eh? but try living with this dog it's a living nightmare, I never expected a dog to be this bad but good grief, oh and I also get to see my sister crying which is good because she pisses me off even more!
How are you today then? are you in a good mood like me or pissed off? :D

I'm in a mood where I am taking nothing seriously...So I hope your Dog recovers from it's traumatic episode.
btw a Dog's Behaviour is often a reflection of it's upbringing, like a child it has to be taught young.

What kind of a dog was it?
And I am in no special mood today.

QFT. Dogs are a lot simpler, the nature vs nurture debate is easily solved there- it's whatever you want it to be. You put a lot of effort into breeding, selecting for personality, that's gonna pay off. But if you put a lot of effort into training, teaching personality, that's what's gonna pay off.

I'm not really in a particular mood.
Very tired, but that's hardly a mood.
And yeah, my dog has been great the last few months. We got her in July when she was a couple of months old, but it didn't take very long at all before she stopped pissing on the floor and howling all night. :D
She now knows loads of commands, and can walk off the lead without running away, which is impressive at 6 months. So yeah, you've just got to treat them properly.

Standard Grade?
It'll be a piece of piss, don't worry about it.
You'll get a resit anyway. That's the way I've always seen it. Don't get stressed about exams. They're usually fine anyway, unless you're seriously underprepared/stupid.

Completely agree, but this dog gets treated like ----, my sister bought it, yeah bought it we should've got the ----er for FREE yet the thick boot spent £50 on it!
But she is so god damn lazy I am still wondering to this second why she wanted a dog, she had a small one before and it died, the thing is though she RARELY takes them out, she does nothing with them apart from moan at them because she is a sour faced cow and she expects everyone to put up with its ---- while she is on a course or out with her gay friend.
Which results in the dog constantly being moaned at because whenever you moved 2 centimetres you were tripping over the thing and it was jumping up to the bunker to steal some food, feck it even takes food out my brothers hand it's that bad, the best word to describe this dog would be demented, it couldn't even stand still and piss it had to move about, honestly it's a nightmare.
But this is what happens when you have a girl in the house, if she wants something that's the end of it, she gets it BUT yet again I proved them wrong and hopefully they will start listening :(
Oh and guess what, Seafield wouldn't take the thing and we phoned the SSPCA and they wouldn't either lmfao, they said take him to a vet and pay, presumably to put him down but I will take a hatchet to the fud, oh and the old man phoned the police and even THEY couldn't take him. So you tell 3 places that this dog has went for a 1 year old kid and none of them give a ----, eventually Seafield took it or else we would've took it along to the police station and tied it outside, but it's ridiculous, that is the whole point of these places to take the dogs yet they don't care.
A, C and D etc, all ----e, up here we have numbers with 1 being the best and 7 being the worst, I got a 3 in English and a 5 in IT (they use macs FFS!!) and a 4 in everything else, which is only about 4 more subjects because my fantastic school didn't have much.

Eh I meant 19.
She's younger than you, huh. I'd lay down the law, if the situation got unbearable. I would have threw the ----ing dog out of the window, preferably from an upstair's window.

I'm not in any sort of mood really. Just average. Finished College.
I got an assignment today though to do with simulatneous equations and I can't do it and my tutor is refusing to help so i'm kind of stumpted.

Been a while can I try one, TB?
WACCOE
30/Jan/07, 04:00 PM
Haha, feel free.
I'll C+P the task here and you can maybe explain a bit, if you don't mind. There'd be no point just outright giving me the answer, as I could do to know how to work it out and everything. :]
"Task 1
You are required to solve the following simultaneous equations both manually and graphically. The graphical solutions will require you to rearrange the formulae into the form y = a*x + b
Solve the following pairs of equations:
2x + 3y +4 = 9
2x + y = 27
---------------
x – 2y – 3 = 0
0.5x + y = 15
---------------
2x- 7y+6=-12
3x+ 2y = 16
"
Meh.
By graphically it means doing it on Excel, apparently there's a special way.
And manually is probably the way you know, by pen and paper.
:]

It's been a good few years but...
2x + 3y + 4 = 9
2x + y = 27
2x + 3y = 9 - 4 = 5
2x + y = 27
2x + 3y +4 = 5
2x + y = 27
2x + 3y = 5
-2x - y = -27
0 + 2y = -27 + 5
2y = -22
y = -11
Going back to 2x + y = 27 with our value for y (-11)
2x + (-11) = 27
2x = 27 + 11
2x = 38
x = 19
y= -11
Never was really too good at explaining things but that's pretty much most of the "paper and pen" method. Not sure what the graphical method is but I assume it would be using Excel to plot the graph and looking for intersects or something. :geek:

Doing SG in May, just finished prelims. Was ----ting myself before them but then you realise how easy they are after it. My prelim scores were
1 Int2 A
2 SG Credit 1s
4 SG Credit 2s
And the ones I did best in are the only ones I care about really.
@TB
Just choose a common factor x or y to elminate. Lets chose x:
2x + y = 27 Change 2x to negative to get rid of it.
-2x -y = -27
___
Add the "x"s "y"s and integers
2x + 3y = 5
-2x - y = -27
(2x + -2x) + (3y + -y) = (5 + -27)
0 2y = -22
___
2y=-22
y=-11
Then you substitute y into one equation 2x + y = 27
2x -11 = 27
2x =27 + 11
x = 16
x=16
y=-11
Checks answer - w00t
Dont do it graphically takes far far longer and you wont have Excel in an exam.

I got the same answer, I knew I should of posted it before I went. Damn!
btw I got the same Answer as Scotty Boy not BS
Scotty Boy
30/Jan/07, 07:21 PM
Then you substitute y into one equation 2x + y = 27
2x -11 = 27
2x =27 + 11
x = 16
x=16
y=-11
Checks answer - w00t
Er...
2x = 27 + 11
2x = 38
x = 38 / 2
x = 19
The teachers are right after all, put down your workings and you shouldn't go wrong. :p

@BS - unfortunately it's an assignment and not an exam, therefore it has to be done graphically should I want a mere pass grade.
@SB - Just checking out your links now, ta.

just had my solicitor on the phone saying that the keys for my new flat are now available to collect! Only spent about 15mins in it during the viewing so didn't have time to size up where I'd hang a nice new telly (a high priority of mine!).
All excited now, it's like major league Xmas or something!
