stupid tape makes mess of hard drive

is it just me or dose that dam tape round the chrome part of the hard drive make such a mess when its removed does any body have any ideas what clean the glue off with without damages the hard drive

Use some cleaning alcohol such as Metholated Spirits. Nail polish remover does good work too. Just dab a little onto a cotton ball or a special cleaning cloth and rub gently untill the glue residue comes off.

Haven't got a hard drive yet but I suggest getting a clean cloth and some WD40 to remove any sticky that's left over.

Works wonders.

Edit: Beaten to it *shakes fist at Dom*...either way is good!

There is some tape on the HD its kind of hard to see if you have it horizantal, I havent taken mine of.

Aftershave is a really good cleaner if used sparingly and on a lint free cloth as you don't want anything that leaves fibres.
