Corrupted Profile

Turned on my xbox and it said only had 3 profiles, went to memory and it says my Zer0 Chaos one has been corrupted :(

Anyone else had this?

Never heard of this happening? - but it sounds bad. I would recommend contacting M$ to somehow backup your GT! Apparently the info is stored with them so could they help?

Either way corrupted files 9 times out of 10 have to be deleted!

He's deleted it, told me on MSN.

Sucks for you man I hope you do still have your Arcade games and Game saves ect. :(

Yea mine got corrupted...

I'm not sure If I posted on here what I did exactly but I just recovered my Gamertag and everything was fine, gamesaves still worked and my friends and achievements were still intact.

I think I got a corrupted profile due to let letting it save properly. Not 100% Sure though it happened a while back.

That's good to know that these can somehow be brought back to life if an unfortunate accident were to bestoe it

I'm sure Locopar had something like this, and he eventually got it back.

Just wait and see what he says about it, because I'm 90% sure he had the same thing happen.

DOA4 without the patch will cause your gamertag to get corrupted. some other games I think as well.

Happened to me right when I got my 360. Think I just deleted it and started again. However if it was your live profile you can recover it and get back achievements. However gamesaves are only stored locally on the 360 so unless you back them up on a memory card (tis what I do) then gutted for you :(

I backed up my Gamesaves but it still worked for me and I didn't delete the gamesaves as you can delete just the Gamer Profile not the achievements aswell

Never had this problem, although I did have something less serious on G.R.A.W where it didn't allow me to load my game because it said the save was corrupted for some reason.

I backed up my Gamesaves but it still worked for me and I didn't delete the gamesaves as you can delete just the Gamer Profile not the achievements aswell
yeh come to think of it I think thats what I did. Delete the profile and not the games. Reading that update thread the other day I think that was added in the January 2006 update.

Someone i used to know had the same problem, he contacted microsoft and they sorted it for him. Took him ages to get it back though.

Its fine I think as far as I can see.

Deleted profile from memory menu and selected delete profile and not profile plus items, recovered it, it took 15-20mins.

Theme had deleted, pics, arcade game saves seem all ok.

Nice one...when mine corrupted I lost everything that was stored locally. Since that happened MS added the option to keep items when deleting a profile...too late for me though and I lost about 2 months worth of game saves.
