Dead or Alive 4 Delayed Again

This wouldn’t be the first time it has happened, but according to an anonymous source Dead or Alive 4 has been delayed again in Japan for the Xbox 360. The release date is now scheduled for December 29. Could this mean that the US release which is currently scheduled for December 14th, be pushed back to early next year....

I was wondering why the game wasn't out yet, I thought it came out 9th December and I was expecting to see lots of reviews from websites on the game but I didn't find any. But I think there is a chance it will get pushed back for a US release.

The creator of http://www.CAD-Comic.com , Tim Absath, is constantly complaining about how DOA4 is being delayed. His last news post today for the xmas holidays included a small note that he won't be enjoying any fighting action this Christmas..

still early in the U.S. some more hours and shops are open but I saw on a canadian net shop and they are selling the game.
and theres lot of places saying the same that is coming out today so I believe it is!

but I don’t understand something, on the X05 in Amsterdam Microsoft announced that all 360 games would come out together world wide….not true at all.

I bought the Arcade Stick for my Saturn & Dreamcast (which looks pretty much identical to that one) as I'm a beat em up freak and they're both huge, chunky beasts yet totally awesome!

the arcade sticks are cool I did have on for Tekken on the PS but I give it away when I sold the first PS to buy the PS2.

I had a chance to play the game in true HD on 52" HDTV, and it looked unbelivable. The story mode is easy except when you have to fight that blue chick boss, other than that it's just like the older games except different button placements. It was hard to get adjusted to not having black and white buttons on the top, but eventually i got used to the tougher controls. Fantastic game. 9.3/10

my revue on Dead or Alive 4

This game rocks big time, maybe for me the best fighting game I have played in some years.
The presentation is brilliant, the menu is like we used of the DOA series with lots of modes and cool things like photo album, movie room where you see recorded match you have on you hard drive and your end movies that you get when you finish the story mod with each character, and I insure you that they are cool to watch.

The graphics are amazing great back grounds but I don’t understand they put in a map with dinosaurs in the back ground that takes a bit of the realistic they try to reach in the game, I would like to see a other more suitable map for the game.
But the maps look really cool most of the thing you find in the environment on the maps are interactive and give the fight an extra intensity when you are playing on it.
The maps where you stand on grass or on the beach are the most realistic I have seen where you can play on.
The fighters are what we are used on DOA only polished with the power of the 360, but they look cool, and lots of things move on them.

The movements of your fighters are cool, but I think that they could be better more realistic.
But still great to see them perform all those fighting techniques, the throws of some fighters are really cool to perform and to see.

My overall judgment for DOA 4 is very positive, it was all I expected, but yes I think that the end boss on the story mode Alpha-152 is over the top, really a pain in the both to beat.
Besides some small thing I think the game is brilliant and I think even players that don’t like the fighting game they could have fun with this one.

My overall score for this classic is 9 out of 10 (Y)
a must have in your 360 game collection.

EDIT: ok I need help, Ive set the 360 to pal 60 and it seems to work fine but when I get to the press start screen I cant press start, It cant seem to recognise the controller even though theres definetly a full battery on it even when its plugged in. Ive tried with both controllers and it wont work but the live menu still comes up when I hit X, anyone else had this problem?

Never mind, it just hadnt saved my pal settings and put it back to 50 but its working fine in 60, just didnt realise not having it in 60 would stop the controller from working

Quality game...Love it!

Can be a bit laggy online sometimes even with small rooms and UK only...bit the totally pervy end movies for the female characters makes up for it!

Love the game aswell and online is great although single player can get quite frustrating at times, mainly fighting that bloody blue alpha thing at the end of story mode

Anyway...Bayman has the most BS counters in the game and pulls them off with almost every attack I throw at him!! Gets right on my ----!

Got this today. Excellent game...absolutely gorgeous to look at. I do agree that blue alpha character is the pits, though. So tough. Hehe, went online after only playing for about two hours. Got my arse handed to me, obviously! ;)

What works for me is to always launch a fast combo when you're close to her ..so f + k, K, K, or similar....she rarely counters.

She does quite often teleport...every time she teleports do a reverse attack...reverse roundhouse catches her most times as she reappears and attacks.

Whenever you get her at a distance launch a running attack...they work most times and if she teleports it's reverse roundhouse time!!

its class sinlge player and online its just a laugh i bought a tree as my avatar! But my mate said he doesn't think the graphics are much different to the xbox DoA 3. Anyone got any comparison shots?

The characters themselves aren't a huge improvement as Team Ninja wanted to keep a kind of 'porcelain doll' look to them so their face, skin etc. are just smooth..so you can't really add much to that. Clothing and hair etc. has improved movements though.

It's the backgrounds where you can see the big improvements...so much more in them, more detailed, destructible objects etc.

Also: why does everyone slag off Spartan 458 (Nicole)...I unlocked her today and think she's one of the better characters....beat Alpha 152 on 2nd attempt too...completed Time Mode in 7'44 with Spartan which ain't too shabby!

Yeah I've not been online since yesterday!

I've unlocked all characters, completed all Story modes, got 5hr of play...6 achievements in total so far I think it is.

My Gamerscore is 1495 now aswell.

Got this at the weekend. Great game. Does'nt look quite as good as I hoped, but still gorgeous. Gone through the story mode...had my first win online, too, which felt grand! BTW, how is spartan unlocked? :brow

If you don't have the secret unlocked yourself then you will not see the achievement listed other than secret... Only when you both have it will you see the actual emblem for the achievement.

These sort of games dont appeal to me much. In my eyes whoever gets the first dig in wins and I also dont think these games have a lot of depth. But they are great if you have a few mates round???
