it all depends how bad you want the 360, if you are like me and everyday you don't have a 360 you want to jump off a building then I would go with the core and shell out the extra cash for a hardrive but you still won't get the wireless controler, headset, and the chrome finish on the disk trey. my advice forget the core and wait for more premiums to come.

I think that if Comet haven't got my 360 in stock before something like the 20th of December, I'm going to just buy a Core package and sell it on when my Premium finally arrives.

yes, its a regular 360 just without the extra goodies like a headset, hardrive, etc.

Yes.
I gave up on waiting for the premium...I got a Core bundle yesterday. IF you were to buy all the accessories to make your Core a Premium (minus the silver DVD tray..which makes no difference to me) it'll cost you maybe £50 more. Personally I can live without a Wireless controller (£30) and a faceplate (£14) so for me it was either save £40 and miss out on 2-3 months of gaming or pay the little bit more and get on the 360 now!
The choice is yours!

mjmaskrey, a Core costs 210 pounds and a Hardrive costs 70 pounds and that equals 280 pounds, which is the same as the Premium. What are the accessories that you get for paying a extra 50 pounds?

I don't need a DVD Remote and I will probably end up buying a 360 Live headset at some point (not right away though). But what's the HD Component lead?

HD component lead is for connecting to TV sets with a component input (y, pb, pr), especially Hi Def TV's (which is why I need the cable).

I really dont get the big hoohaa over a core :s its a 360 FFS. I actually preffer the non chrome disk tray atm, because the whole 360 is the same colour, and it goes well, but maybe later on when i get a faceplate i will think a chrome would look better, but meh i have a 360.
