Will you still play GRAW?

When the second one comes out that is, I have only just started getting into the first one properly but the second comes out in a couple of months.
Will you being playing it when GRAW2 arrives?

GRAW is awesome, but no, I doubt I will be playing it when the 2nd one comes out.

I'd still be playing this game right now if the people who I spent so long playing it with still were, but most of them aren't. Most of the hardcore players think that Ubi have ruined it with the update... a statement I'd agree with. It just wasn't the same after they'd "fixed" it.

I'm probably rusty as hell now as well. Went from playing it every day for about 5 months to not playing it at all in 2. :D

I would skip the Single Player, get striaght into Ranked online matches. (Y)

Yup, hardly anyone plays it any more. They ruined it with the "TrueSkill" updates.

It used to have loads of people playing every single night up until about September, and then it just sort of stopped because of the update, so now it's impossible to get a decent game.

Managed to get one decent one tonight, gave up and played something else.

Yea, I played it the other day and couldnt find many games. If you start your own one up though you normally do get a few people joining it.

TBH I am not a big hosting fan, while waiting to start the game you either have someone moaning there are not enough people or someone moaning becuase you wont start the game. Will give it a go a bit later though.:)

Can probably get some of the TM guys on as well... BS definitely wants to play it, Steve would as well, and I'm sure guys like Raised, MJ and Padds would if it was just for a laugh rather than for competitiveness. :)

I think I am level three or four, not sure what rank I am though, but it is not good. Haven't been online all that much with it.

3 or 4 on your own ain't bad if you've only started playing recently. Me, Steve and Locopar are all 8s I think (I've been a 9, but got demoted :(), and guys like Killer, Padds and Rilu are all pretty good ranks too, although only because we helped them get there. :D

I got up to 9 before I quit. Ranked matches were crap after the new "Lets be gay- I mean 'fair' " update.

See, I thought that update was quiet good.
Before it stopped players ranking up as easy, because if you didn't have a certain rank, you'd be booted.
I see why it's annoying for you guys who were maybe better players, and weren't discriminated against for having a lower rank - but overall the update was a good thing.

That's why I thought an introduction of some sort of skill-based game sort would have been much better. For example, rooms for people ranked at certain levels. Y'know, 1-3, 4-6, above. Or something.

So that you wouldn't have to be a Rank 3 going into a room of 8s and getting automatically booted.

Although did the ranking not work in a similar way to TrueSkill does? Where you get more "points" for killing people who are higher ranked than yourself. And you points go somewhat down if you're killed by someone who is a much lower rank?
Or was it the fact that higher ranked people thought lower ranked ones weren't as good as players? Therefore didn't deserve to play the match?

Why would you try to fix something though that didn't need fixing? GRAW's problems originally werent ranked matches- it was that the connection sucked. Fix that Ubi, you dumb bunch of lazy poopoo faces. Yeah for censorship!

I think a lot of people where just generally complaining to them - and this way it stopped people cheating as much, as the host didn't have as much power.

Which a majority of the more dedicated players liked. Plus- if you have a low rank..start your own room.

Nah, it was the former. It was nothing to do with not being good enough. It was just a case of pansy-ass hosts getting scared that they'd lose their rank to a 3.

Although, they had a point. It was worked out that if an 8 killed a 1, they'd actually LOSE rank for it. :D

In America- Probably within the next week if you use your math skills and add the 6 month delay that you guys always get screwed with.

The whole "random teams" thing annoyed people as well, because in LMS, we generally tended to split into teams and play a map in each spawns. With random teams came random spawns, and as a result the loss of this.

That annoyed a surprisingly large number of people. Me included, but not to the point of me giving up on GRAW altogether like quite a lot did because of it.

Basically, an update was needed, but they kinda messed it up.

Yeah doubt Ill play another Rank match, one loss away from getting a 7 anyway.

But a reunion or whatever is being discuused sounds good. We will need to practice for the tourney match we have anyway.

I used to play that game every night for hours on end till they patched it and made it so you can't order the teams, I didn't see any point in adding that because if you're able to boost then you can only get so far because it's impossible, so the people moaning about stacked teams basicly wrecked it(EVEN THOUGH YOU CAN'T RANK UP FAR).

They also killed the clan scene, but i'll definetly get the new GRAW for now, RBS is a great replacement.
